RE: Sprinter ?s

Servicing might be less of a problem than some people are saying. My local garage isn't listed anywhere, but they have a certified MB mechanic because the casino uses Sprinters as buses.
I also live in Oregon (Roseburg) and was wondering if you could share your local garage mechanic? Thanks.

RE: New Tires: General Grabbers HTS

I was, and still am, a little peeved with Continental (owner of General) for not reimbursing me for the $75 additional shipping charges I incurred due to their out of round tires. The good news: I am very happy with the tires and would probably do it over again. The tires are the quietest that I have ever had and give me the feeling of the excellent road traction.
My recommendation, if you decide to get the Grabber HTS, is to have them checked for out of round by the company that mounts them. The symptoms of out of round is a bouncing/vibration, mostly in the steering wheel. It was subtle but noticable.

RE: New Tires: General Grabbers HTS

I can address part of your question. I put 4 of the Grabber HTS on my Tacoma pickup about 4 months ago. The good: they are the quietest tire I have ever owned. They feel like they hug the road. The bad: Two of the original 4 tires were out of round. Big O Tires installed them but since I purchased them from the Tire Rack, shipping was at my expense ($50). One of the two replacement tires was out of round: another replacement and $25 shipping cost. Now I have 4 good tires; General/Continental would not refund $75 shipping costs.
