RE: WOW must be a scam or misprint

I think I'll mail him a check, give it 2 weeks to clear, then drive out to take possession.

RE: need your opinion. what brand do you use

on the surface it looks very light weight... i wonder if will take all the pounding of rough roads.
i don't see any swivel plates that the tires set on or see any type of turning assist on the dolly.
It does have a swivel plate for the toad's front wheels. It was rugged enough for us to use for 3 years with no damage.

RE: Need additional lights when using a tow dolly?

When towing during daylight I only use the lights on the dolly. When towing after dark I prefer to put those magnetic lights at the rear of the vehicle so other drivers can see where the rear of the vehicle is. Just my personal preferance.

RE: What's this switch for?

Crawl under the rig and look at the bottom of the holding tanks. If a pad is glued on there with wires coming from it, it is a heating pad. Also look at the elbows of the drain pipes coming into and out of the holding tanks. Mine has heated pads there also.
I agree it is either a heating pad on the holding tanks or a switch for the water heater. My rig has 2 seperate switches for the water heater. One is the gas and the other is the electric element.

RE: Downsizing?

We were newbies with this first Class C, and we're glad we chose the short one. We get just under 10 MPG except in one killer headwind when we got about 7. Very close MPG to the bigger units according to comparisons I read here.
We have the 32' Winnebago and get 9mpg. If you get "just under 10 MPG" then we are getting almost exactly the same mileage in spite of the fact that my MH is almost 50% longer (heavier) than yours.

RE: Husband or Wife who makes the decision?

It was a joint decision, but we both had veto power. I was responsible for the technical side, DW was responsible for the usability side. After 3 years, we both are still pleased as punch with our choice.

RE: Company to hook up a toad in the Denver Area

I would call a good trailer hitch place. The best hitch place here in Memphis is a distributor for Blue Ox and Demco.

RE: Uninterested Salemen

About 6 weeks ago, DW and I were shopping for a new toad. We had narrowed our choices down to about 3. We went to the Jeep dealer first. The salesman was OK until we mentioned that we were not going to buy "today." He immediately lost interest. We were not lying, we bought a Subaru, the next day. The day we went to Jeep, we were looking. We planned to buy the next day, but he didn't give us time to say that.

RE: Amber Light under Kwikee automatic electric step

Mine is on when the door is open and off when the door is closed. It makes no difference how the switch is set.

RE: newb question: new truck before first trailer?

Or, just go ahead and get an F450 dually or equivalent, then you can tow anything.
