RE: 2010 Lance

We have that large roll out dinette drawer in our 1996 Lance. We use it for dirty clothes. I would suggest calling Lance directly and ask them if the drawer is still available as an option.
I had heard that Lance may be droping some of their less popular models in 2010.

RE: Transporting a TC EEEEOOOOWWWW!!!!!

No Dealer on the east coast had a new 2008 with a V-10.
V10's are as rare as chicken teeth around here. When I was looking for a new one to test drive back in 2006, I had to drive 300 miles one-way to find a V10 with a manual tranny.

RE: Nuked post?

Just wondering why my post was nuked?
Did you not read the email I sent you several hours ago? Here it is again:
Saggys,
Here is a thread that might help you find the info you are looking for.
http://www.rv.net/forum/Index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/16429457.cfm
Forum rules do not allow posts which have items for sale. That prohibition also includes posts where someone says something like, "I have a camper I want to sell, where is a good place to advertise it" or "I have a camper I may be selling, what is it worth".
I would sugest you search around on ebay and similar web sites and you will see what they are selling for.
Good Luck,

RE: When Animals Attack!

It's better to have a plan and never have a need to use it, than to not have a plan and desperately need one.
My plan includes actions I take to prevent the use of a weapon, using a weapon is always a last resort in my plan.
Absolutely, except that I would say it is the next to the last resort in my plan.

RE: TorkLifts front, HappiJacks rear?

Make sure you get the HJ bumper reinforcing brackets if you go that way.
Ditto. They cost about $25 and only take 30 minutes to install with simple tools.
I've been using HJ front & rear tiedowns for 14 years and never had the first problem with them.

RE: Incorporating an RV Business - State or City?

Thanks for the responses. That's what I thought; the only incorporation filings I had ever heard of was through a state, not a city.
Thanks,

Incorporating an RV Business - State or City?

Can an RV business file incorporation papers with a city government? I was under the impression that businesses incorporated with state governments, not city governments.
Thanks,
Brad

RE: New Product "Sumo Springs" from the maker of Super Springs

TCM apparently will sell their soul to the highest bidder. As in no really critical look at the product.
All magazines which depend on advertiser dollars to say afloat do that. It's almost impossible to find a bad review of anything in an advertiser supported magazine.

RE: Guns in Alaska. (Please be nice)

If I ship or take one of mine it would be the Redhawk 44 just for ease of size.
I had one of those once. I bought it right before the Super Redhawks came out. Sweet shooter with 44 specials. But my shooting hand would swell up after I ran a box of magnums thru it.
Good Luck,
Brad

.....I would like to have a firearm
with me........
Long gun or handgun? A non-resident of the state will have problems buying a handgun.
Can you rent firearms in Alaska?

RE: A message from Mike Schneider, CEO, Affinity

I would like to thank Affinity for providing this forum. It is an extremely valuable resource for 10’s of thousands of RV’ers. I can’t begin to list off all the things I have learned from my participation over the years. But, I think we all tend to take the forum's existence a little for granted since it has have been around for so long and participation is open to everyone free of charge. Thanks again for the commitment of time and treasure to keep this valuable resource available to all of us during this difficult time in the RV industry; better times are down the road.

RE: 2011 Ford SuperDuty Video

Ford has had a lot of IH hands on experience. They have BETA tested their engines and know where strong and weak points are. One of the biggest issues with the 6.0 and 6.4 is repair ease. These engines are not mechanic friendly. You have to disassemble a lot of it just to get to the offending parts. This adds a huge cost to the repair which ticks off customers no end as you can imagine. I bet the FORD 6.7L will be far more reliable and easier to work on as well. This will keep warranty costs in check and also restore truck customers confidence.
Ford has been on a crusade to improve their overall quality and it is paying off in spades. They posted nearly a Billion dollar 3rd quarter profit. I am glad to see that they are moving in the best direction. I love their products, just not the looks of this truck. IMO Ford has made the best overall truck package and they seem to be determined to make it even better.
IMO the last thing Ford needs to do is jump ship on IH and land in the same type of situation with CAT or Detroit Diesel. They made the right choice. If you can do it better in house then by all means do it. GM learned that they could not after many failed attempts. Even with their new Isuzu partner there were issues.
I bet Ford will have far less issues and this will be a good if not great engine. I still would never buy the first year out unless Ford ponies up with an extended warranty like GM had to do with their Duramax issues.
I know the trans should be fine and the bodies are the best. If Ford does knock this engine out of the park they will be grabbing market share back by the fists full. They are still numero uno in truck sales. With a killer engine they will return to owning 2/3rds of the truck market again.
This is a good example of why I say sarcasm doesn't work well on Internet forums. People read a sarcastic post and think you really mean it. ;)

.... I don't recall ever reading a post from a dissatisfied Outfitter owner.
Freedom sounds like he has had some issues with the service.
Yep, there is one.
