RE: Let's be truthful about Honda gennys

I would just like to suggest that you should use Marine Sta-Bil. It is designed for use with ehthanol fuel which attracts moisture like a sponge. I use it in my boat, ATV, lawnmower etc. Everything that has the potential to sit for a while has Marine Sta-Bil in it! ;)

RE: cb antenna mounting

I am interested as well. Have a magnet mount that is in the middle of the roof when the TC is not on. We take it off to put the TC on but have not figured out where to put it. To much plastic around the hood of the vehicle to stick it without it being intrusive.

RE: Advice on White Mountains of NH???

We have stayed at Russell Pond Campground in the White Mountain National Forest. It is a Federal campground and is on a first come, first find basis. No reservations. If you get there Mon thru Friday morning you should have no problem. Some nice level sites to get the TC off, wooded sites no hook-ups but they do have buildings with showers (5 mins. 8 quarters), toilets and sinks. Nice clear water pond with a beach. And it's only $20.00 a night. Exit 31 of of Rt. 93.
Also there is Broken Branch KOA in Thorton, NH. You can take a short walk to the cooooool and refreshing waters of the Pemigewasset River Exit 29 (I think) of Rt. 93. Typical CG with all the amenties.
Lots to do in this area. Tram to top of Cannon Mountain, Clark's Trained Bears, Cog Railroad up Mt. Washington, Drive up Mt. Washington, numerous hikeing and bikeing trails etc. etc............
Beautiful country!:B

RE: Finally Pulling the Trigger on TC Purchase

We went with the TorkLifts and Fast Guns when we purchased or TC 2 years ago. Previous owner had the HappiJac system with turnbuckles and I did not care for it. Our $50K truck has 5 cent bumpers on it and I did not feel safe using it as a tie down point. I can flex the corner of the bumper rather easily with my hand. I certainly didn't want the TC FLEXING it!

RE: Great North Woods NH

For me: the Yaks... I love just floating in a couple inches of water exploring. However, I'm not a fisherman, but if I was it would be the boat for sure; more room, more conformable, more stable when the wind pipes up and it will.
I agree with this post! And if you will be fishing, here is a link of the license fees.
Have fun! :)

Where did you mount air bag compressor?

Have had manually filled air bags for a year now and recently picked up an AirLift compressor kit for cheap $$. Does any have any pics of where you mounted the guage and compressor? Also how did you run all the hoses and wires. Looking for suggestions and do's & don't from people that have already done it. Will be installed on an '08 Chevy 2500HD.
Thanx :@

RE: Raising my camper..

This is what we use on our '97 Lance with an '08 Chevey. The Chevy side are higher today that they were in '97 making it necessary to make adjustments. Black rubber mat plus 5/4 round lumber did the trick.

RE: New Hitch Extension!

I am afraid to even drive the truck now! Let alone put the camper on or even think about hooking up the boat! :E
I think I will sell it all and get this. I can drive it and be safe. Sleep in it and fish from it. And, I don't think anyone will get in my way!:B

RE: New Generator Mount!

Time will tell but, I do not think it will present to much of a problem extending out pass the bumper and low.
We will use a small bungie cord to hold the door open if needed.
The Kipor was $1087 shipped from Amazon. It says 3000 but it is actually 2600 rated. It has a built-in handle and wheels for moving it around. It only has .3 hour on it (I installed a hour/min meter) so I can not give it much of a review. It does start our old Coleman AC and is quiet. :C

RE: New Hitch Extension!

I'm puzzled: How does the 2 1/2" extension "connect to the stock 2" receiver? With a 2" tube insert? Is it a stock receiver? Or is the extension a 2" tube with a 1/4" wall?
The '08 Chevy Silverado 2500HD came from the factory with the 2 1/2" receiver hitch installed. The 2 1/2" hitch extension goes into the 2 1/2" receiver. The square tube is 1/4" thickness.

RE: New Generator Mount!

Good looking rack but may not be legal in many states since it covers up your license plate.
Bonefish
Yep, next project! Not sure if i will move it to the very rear of the generator mount or above the Lance brake/directional/back-up lights. Either way I will purchase a lighted license plate bracket to do it.
And yes, as was noted, there is a cable and lock to keep the honest people honest! ;)
