RE: Carlisle ULTRA CRT ONLY

I just returned from a vacation in Myrtle Beach SC and on the return blew a Carlisle tire, ST225/75R15 LRE. The trailer originally had Load Range D tires. When I replaced I upgraded to Load Range E, thinking this would give an etra level of safety. The tires were mfg, 10th week of 06 so just over 3 years and less than 4K miles. Second tire had the belts break and steel exposed. Caught this one before it blew. Mem weekend I found one tire had cut and cracks, replaced that one then. The last or 4th tire is cracked under the Carlise name. These tire look old and weathered, I think they should last longer than three years. I will be replacing with Maxxis ST225/75R15 LRE. Not many 15's out there in LRE. I do not have enough spacing to go up to 16's or I would. I am not trying to save money by buying cheap tires, looking for safe tires. As you will find most tires are now made in China. I think Maxxis is made in Mexico, not certain about that. Bottom line not sure these werre CRT but they are Carlisle.
