Do new homebuyer tax credits apply to RV purchases?

I'm shopping for an RV to be used as a primary residence. I know that payments, for tax purposes, are treated just like mortgage payments. So does that mean that a newly-purchased RV would be eligible for the $8,000 tax credit for new homebuyers? If so, that would be a tremendous incentive.
