RE: Hellwig anti-sway bar install

Nice pics of the sway bar install, I have been wanting one for my dodge. Let us know how it works with the TC on the truck. Every time I make a trip to WV atv riding area the back roads make me wish I had a sway bar.

RE: No More OHV Access Calico Ghost Town

It's the same where I ride most places you have to load up and go a mile or two to the trail head and unload again. But I do have a few places where I can ride from camp and I spend my money there more times than not. One of my favorite trail heads is open 24/7 nothing said about camping so I park, ride and crawl in the camper when done. If and when I get asked, the law drives through at night I'm just taking a break because night riding is alowed with a working head light.

RE: Camper clearance back of truck bed

At first I thought about adding a sheet under my camper for more clearance at the back of my bed, it only has about 1/4 inch space at the rear but about 3/4 inch at the front. The Dodge bed is deeper at the rear, It has been on the truck for two years now and no paint rub yet. When I first loaded up it looked like the TC was going to flip out the back, I even stuck my hand through the inside door to see if the TC was on the floor up front, yep all good.

RE: UPDATE Which Honda ATV for me?

I have a 08 Foreman 500 with the power steering and electric shift. Simple design very reliable. Not as fast as some but rock solid and fast enough.

RE: TC and truck need tow question (update pic)

When I called the tow company back after measuring the height 10' 6" to 10' 8" they said their deck was at 3' so the total is OK. I could let my air down in my air bags and the tires to help some. The Lance 815 is about not to large a truck camper. I got my tape measure so we can check it when loaded. The ride down I77 is only about 9 miles just off the ramp on both ends of the tow. Just wanted to know if anyone else has had their rig on a rollback.

RE: TC and truck need tow question (update pic)

I did the batt disconnect but only for about 10 min. The code is P0300 multi cly misfire. I think it could be a pickup sensor on 1 of 3 things, pedle, throtle body or crank.

TC and truck need tow question (update pic)

My dodge has the ETC light on and won't go, stuck in Charlotte NC. and set up with the Dodge dealer in Fort Mill, SC. for service on Tuesday.
They have a roll back F650 and asked for my measurment on height weight is not an issue they said they can handle 12,000lbs. I have it at around 10' 6" to 10' 8". They said they can do it. Going to meet them tomorrow afternoon at a hotel parking lot I got it to. Just wanted to know has anyone had their rig on a roll back brought in when broke down.

RE: Great buy on a portable grill for the TC

The one you show online is it. Coleman camp grill. It had $64 on the shelf but $66 on the box. A red and white close out tag on the shelf said $30 bucks. I brought it over to auto area and had her scan it and yep $30 bucks and they had 5 more at my store left when I bought mine.

Great buy on a portable grill for the TC

Wally World has the Coleman camp grill on close out. Was $66 now $30 bucks. Its shaped about the size of a Coleman stove, Porcelain coated metal and porcelain coated cast iorn grill surface so it has some weight to it. It uses a 1 lb. propane bottle. Would make a good gift for any one that camps or tailgates.

RE: Tires Which is better

I just replaced a set of original mich LTX AS tires on my work van (06 2500 Sprinter) they had 110899 miles on them with 5/32 left on the tread. I'm going up to Conn. for a few weeks work and just wanted full depth tread again. This is the most amount of miles I ever put on a set of work tires. My van is loaded with tools and supplies all the time. On my Dodge which hauls my TC I like a tire with a little more agresive tread than the LTX AS Mich tires on my work van.

RE: Need help to avoid freezing

If I was in an area that was going to be cold for some time I would winterize my system. I normaly don't have to winterize but did for a trip up to PA and back through WV last week. I used the pink stuff and had enough in my tank to use the toilet and carryed water for washing, I use a wash tub that fits my kitchen sink than throw it out. It seems like to much trouble to try and fight the cold and keep all going for a small TC system, a large trailer maybe.

RE: removed TC for truck service

Yea I should go ahead and pay up, I have done work like this myself in the past but my back is in bad shape right now. I'm off work till next year and was wanting to go up to PA to see some family and was wanting to make sure my rig is in good order, I don't know how it will be in the TC in real cold temps down here it never freezes. I filled all lines with pink stuff and bought a cat heater to help keep warm.

removed TC for truck service

I removed my TC today and plan on getting my truck serviced. My question is should I do all the service that is listed at my 60,000 mile interval, I have 62,000 on the truck with no problems. Several of my friends have over 100,000 miles and one has over 200,000 miles and all said they have not changed the front and rear diffs or the transfer case and said its a waste of money. All are Dodge 4x4's 2500 and the high milage one is a 3500. I priced the front and rear diffs, transfer case, the automatic and radiator all for $590.00 Would you do all or just part of the list?

RE: Crushed runners in bed of truck?

Can you cut some wood shims to use as filler? No dents here but I thought I had a problem at the rear of the bed so added some support at the rear. The ribs stop about 4 inches from the back of my bed and my rubber matt is not giving any support at the very rear. And I only have about 1/4 inch clearance on top rail at the rear. So I checked and it was 4 1/2 inches from the top of the matt to the top of my bumper so I put some 2x4's to give the TC some support, this also brings the very rear edge of support about 7 inches futher out then were the ribs stoped. Yes I can still get the tire tool in there.
