RE: Crushed runners in bed of truck?

Can you cut some wood shims to use as filler? No dents here but I thought I had a problem at the rear of the bed so added some support at the rear. The ribs stop about 4 inches from the back of my bed and my rubber matt is not giving any support at the very rear. And I only have about 1/4 inch clearance on top rail at the rear. So I checked and it was 4 1/2 inches from the top of the matt to the top of my bumper so I put some 2x4's to give the TC some support, this also brings the very rear edge of support about 7 inches futher out then were the ribs stoped. Yes I can still get the tire tool in there.

RE: torklift to ground brace for rear of TC

I made these to use when parked to get rid of movement, my manual jacks are way short and when I unload I have to use 8x16 blocks with a 2x8 board on top. Fortunately I don't remove the TC unless the truck needs serviced.

torklift to ground brace for rear of TC

A simple brace I made for the rear of my TC. I have some other small boards for the ground when on dirt. The 2x4 has a stud in the top that fits in a hole in the bottom of the torklift arm then tighten the strap.

RE: Swap vent for fan (pics)

The wire for the fan was already under the trim of the vent I removed. Same was true on the AC and speakers I had installed. The TC was a basic build with only the side awning when I got it but has worked out fine for upgrades with all the prewire there.

Swap vent for fan (pics)

Cool weather coming wanted to get my fan installed, bought it awhile back. Not that bad prewire was there and getting the old calking off was most of the work.

Still plan on putting a little calking over the screws next and a once over the rest of the roof.

small trailer for TC

My brother up in PA fixed me up so I can haul both my atv's. I have a 5x8 enclosed trailer and it is very good for just about anything behind the TC just not both atv's.

RE: F550 camper project

Nice setup, is the flat bed custom made or just a purchased one? I didn't notice a head rack. I like the rear bunk setup too. I spent a day at Xtremecampers awhile back and was also very satisfied with Mike's work on my TC.

Camping world shurflo fan sale

Going to Camping world to have a Shurflo fan (silver) installed to replace my rear vent. The sale is for 99.00 with free shipping and was planning to do myself. The install by them was 89.00 but at this time install is free so just going to let them do it. Before I go I plan on removing the inside trim to see if pre wire is there in my 03 Lance 815? Anyone know?
I bought this TC in May 08 and had CW install a Polar Cub 8300 btu AC
for 637.00 and 88.00 installation. But when I paid they added 65.00 to remove the old 14x14 vent, and they said the charge was because it was rivited. We'll see if the free install on the Shurflo is FREE. Installation should cover any removal, who would drive in with a 14x14 open hole in the roof?

tc battery drain while running my fridge when driving

I have had no issue when only driving a few hours but on a two day trip the first day was a ten hour drive. I stopped after seven hours and my tc battery was about dead so I turned it off so my battery would charge back up on the next three hours of driving. My tc battery is a small group 24 and my truck has a new group 65 800amp. I have the Lance plug in the bed and cd solenoid set up. The only flaw is the 8 gauge ground is bolted to the frame under the bed would it make a difference if I run it up to the neg. post on the truck battery? Would it make a difference if I upgraded the tc battery to a group 29?

RE: Drain Hose for what?

I have looked many times and could not find any valve until today. Under the sink lift out the small plywood shelf and under there is two valves, one on cold and one on hot to drain the lines.
