Come One, Come All to the Michigan Fall Samboree "Monster Mash Reunion Ball" You do not have to be a member just wanting to have a fun weekend. We have over 300 Full Hook Up Sites available at Covenant Hills Camp in Otisville, MI on first come pre-registered (cut off August 16, 2010, $5 more afterwards)as they last. Forms available at MICHIGAN GOOD SAM
Early Bird starts Tuesday morning at $15 per day with the Samboree officially starting on Thursday for $75 for the family to have fun Thursday to Sunday. Extra adults is $10.
Within minutes of Frankenmuth and Flint. Tuesday night is Karaoke. Wednesday vendors open and at night cash back BINGO. Thursday chapter raffles start in the morning followed by an open flea market to all campers. Cash back BINGO and the evening entertainment is the Tony Orlando review by Mr. Ortiz. Friday starts with golf outing with vendors, raffles, arts & crafts, and games. Evening entertainment will be Rick Eddy's Rock-in' Oldies Band. Saturday continues into the evening entertainment with Dave & Daphne out of Nashville.
Door prices, ice cream social, coffee, donuts, cookies, and a great campground with lake to play in.
What are the actual date of the get together and is there a campground website?

A 34' trailer only has a weight of 5500 lbs? I really doubt that...
...and remember the Hensley is there to prevent sway but does not give you more towing power to pull something with an inadequate tow vehicle...

The rel question is "Can you tow it safely all the time and be able to stop safely in an emergency situtation?" (I can't answer YES for sure to this question and if it was me I would find a combination that I can answer YES to this question)

We will be coming from Livonia, and should be there Thursday.
There is a small parking lot near the street at the east end of the casino between the raod into the parking garage and the road to employee parking...park there and as of right now we will be there Friday evening unless I can get there sooner coming from Southgate...
We have a white 1-ton dually and a Jayco Designer fifth wheel...

I start out asking them nicely to not walk through our site and if they were sitting at our picnic table I would kindly ask them to move...second time I have to ask is not so nice
Two solutions for people walking through your site...walk behind them through your site and ask them nicely not to walk through your site again please; second soluation is to find where they are staying and walk through their site when everyone else is outside
Not everyone these days but there are some who have a lack of respect for others and need to be re-educated...but unfortunately that is usually a waste anyways

RE: How necessary are generators on fifth wheels
A generator requires regular maintenace to keep it in reliable working order. Monthly you need to run it under 50% laod for a minimum of 30 minutes to keep the windings dry. Yearly, you need to do oil/filter change.

That sure is a lot of maintenance.
I just ran up my standby genny for the house and changed gas in it. I do that every fall. :h
All generators need to be held to the above minimum standards...
Best thing we ever did was to have an Onan 5500W generator built into our fifth wheel...the convenience is priceless!

Good to know you have the slider hitch...if it is manual make sure you slide it if needed before you start backing up...

9800 lbs seems way light for a 36' fifth wheel...if you did not get a sliding hitch watch yourself when turning or backing up and don't turn too sharp when backing up or you may take out the back cab window in your truck
I recommned taking the whole combination to a large parking lot and practice backing up so you will be familiar on how the 5th wheel backs up...
