I like your pictures. Is that how you cast your line out.
Bud Light kite cast, 200 to 300 yards when the wind is right? Looks like fun!

RE: tiedowns for flatbed

I used fold flat 6,600LB tie downs. You have to cut out a hole in the place you want to locate it. There is a little angle inwards for the Fast Gun 45's. I have them on the front also, but use 2,200Lb closed eye bolts located on the rails due to lack of space. No movement of the TC with the rubber mat in place and this system. The bed can be used for loading other things with the tie downs folded out of the way.

By the way, I like your TC.

RE: Retro tractor

It just looked so sporty.
Worked the farms in the mid west growing up. They didn't have that then. I personally know of the hazards. I respect that lifestyle very much.
I like your new picture of the B-17.

RE: Retro tractor

I like it.
How fast does it go that it needs a windscreen and roll bar? It would come in real handy for the smaller jobs.

RE: Fall Photos Southern New Mexico

Yes, great looking trip. Also, excellent choice in truck and camper.
Is that a flat bed?
Yes, it is a flat bed. Best upgrade I have done. Keep firewood, chainsaw, fuel, generater, pop up shelter, and bottled water on the sides. I don't need a hitch rack anymore so I gain better off-road ability, and I no longer worry about my expensive gear falling off unseen. Now I can see my gear fall off in my side mirrors!

RE: Fall Photos Southern New Mexico

Great pics, thanks for posting.
BTW, do you know how to tell which mushrooms are good to eat?
If so, please enlighten us....
I don't know about eating mushrooms. If you step on some and they explode a cloud of spores that look like dust, try to treat it like toxins. One of the fellows on another forum did that and had to seek medical treatment. He said the sons were with him (7 and 9 if I remember correctly) and told them they may have to take control of the truck because he felt like he might pass out when it affected him while underway. He made it down to help and after blood work they found the toxins. The poor guy said it just hit him out of nowhere. He thinks that it may have happened while folding away some gear on the ground.
I told my DW that if I start acting like the guys in the "Young Guns" movie, it might be from the mushrooms!

Fall Photos Southern New Mexico

Went to Licoln National Forest for some seasonal colors. It was raining and cool for most of the trip.
