sweeten fresh water tank

We have a 2001 Road Trek Versatile 200 and haven't camped in it in almost a year. How or what do you do to sweeten the fresh water tank

RE: Roadtrek armoire cabinet

We have a 2001 200. Bought it used. It already had the armoire installed on the passenger seat behind the driver. It is wonderful. Lots of space to hang stuff and plenty of room on the bottom. We do not plan on removing it. There is a Route 66 dealer in Winter Haven, FL where you can order road trek parts. The name escapes me at the moment. However, I did contact Road Trek and they DO NOT sell directly to the customer, however, they will tell you what dealer to order parts from.

RE: Curious about Roadtrek interior storage

We have a 2001 200. The previous owners had a closet installed in place of the passenger seat behind the driver. We keep a lot of stuff in it. The spare tire is is in a storage compartment on the right side of the unit. So, with the portable closet and all the cabinets we have more than enough space to store all that we need. We use the compartment above the cockpit area for storage of maps, directories, etc. We also leave the bed made up. We put some smaller stuff under the rear bed. We are pleased with our storage.

Changing locatiojn on side of posts

How do you change your location that comes up under user name on the side of the posts? I no longer live in Zephyrhills.

RE: How old is too old?

I don't think any Road Trek could be too old. We have a 2001 210 with fairly low mileage and not that many hours on the generator. The interior was in great shape as was the exterior. Underneath where the LP tank is was not like new but still o.k and safe to use. We have used it extensively and have had absolutely no problems of any kind. (knock on wood). It's about due for service so now I must find an RV dealer that can service the Road Trek. Any way, good luck in finding one. Retired Army South Carolina

RE: MMap and Rig Photo

I believe I have followed all the instructions for posting a picture for my signature of my rig and toad. So far no luck. I've cropped the picture to as small as it can go. What am I doing wrong? An error message keeps coming up.

RE: How about a Smart Car

We have not yet taken the Smartie on the highway. But driving in the city (Zephyrhills and the Tampa Bay area) and other places we get 37 mpg. We have the complete tow bar system but no breakaway. We were told at the car dealer and at 2 RV dealers that because of the light weight of the Smartie an auxillary breaking system was not required. Hope this answers some of your questions. So far we are very satisfied with the performance of the Smartie. Since it is so light we don't even realize that the Smartie is behind us. Have to keep checking. There is also NO strain on our Road Trek. By the way, I have never put in more than $20.00 into the gas tank and that's when the fuel gage shows 1/4 tank.

How about a Smart Car

We tow a 2009 Smart for 2 car. It is flat towable, and only weighs 1800 pounds. No brake buddy is required. We tow it behind a 2001 Road Trek class B. No problems. When I learn how, I will post a photo. We used to have a Class A and a Class C and towed a Ford Focus with manual transmission. It also was very easy to tow but needed a brake buddy. Larry G.
