RE: California Trailer registration fee

Look at my picture. Bought new in Dec 08. Just got the bill. Anyone wanna guess ? Mine is due in March it was 1400 last year before the increase. I feel your pain. I wish mine was 400 bucks. Hell none of my vehicles are that low. Well except my boat that is registered in AZ.

RE: Gasket Adhesive Removal

Lacquer thinner. But it may damage the painted surfaces as well. If the old glue is on there that good why not just put new glue over it??

RE: Big Problem this weekend need help

Well Im not a Ford guy but most of the people in our group got rid of their 6.0's and bought new ones because they felt the same way. Only complaints they have now is mileage thanks to the new emissions. The only bad thing I see with going to the F450 is the gearing is a bit much for a daily driver. I believe they either come with 4:33 or 4:88.

RE: Warrior founder to design new trailers...

Faced with this economy I would have shut the doors on the company as well. Look at the Auto industry - if you think he really did that bad of a job running his company. . . he wasn't the only one. Sometimes stopping and shutting the doors is the best business decision. Building a new company up after things turn up make a lot of sense. After being in business for awile I have found that business is business not a friendship. Warrior along with a ton of others made a business decision to shut down, most without a choice. Very true Mark but they sure left a bad taste in a lot of their customers mouths. I know they all were not bad but there sure seemed like a lot of them were. Then to loose a law suit and close the doors so they dont have to repair them? Thats going to hurt their rep for a long time to come.

RE: First Trip and maybe Last

Dont get discouraged. Its the shake down blues. Get a new set of tires with a weight rating well above your trailer weight if you can. As Dave said check out the power to the battery and get the other bugs worked out so you can enjoy your new home. There is maintenance to these things but its not something every time. After all how good would your house hold up if you put tires on it and took it across country? Welcome to the family and enjoy it.

RE: Has anyone riden the silverwood lake area?

It's a grate place to ride. I was just there this weekend. We did 18 mile loop, stopped to have lunch by the lake then did another 17 miles of other trails. We staged at the dam. I don't think you need a pass at the dam. Secret trip? :E

RE: Has anyone riden the silverwood lake area?

Its a fun area, some of the trails are quite a challenge. Make sure you get a day pass before you go. You can get one at Turners on Tustin.

RE: Side X Side

Thats not a bad strategy SoCal. Well we all know this crappy economy isnt going to stay like this for ever. which means the value of things wont stay at rock bottom for ever.

RE: Side X Side

Ya know, Im all for waiting for the perfect thing but then again, isnt your time worth something? To me with the great deals on used out there it is almost crazy to do with out when you could buy a "set up Rhino" that someone has put 30k into for around 12k. Then once they work the bugs out of that first year Can Am you can sell that Rhino for probably just a little less than you paid for it and you got a season or two of enjoyment out of it for next to nothing. You have an advantage of being able to pick up (deals) in SoCal that I do not have in KS. I won't be able to use till next year. I've been working 12hr/7 days for two months. I just about bought a Artic Cat 1000 with 72 hp. If they don't come out with the Can-Am next spring I'll buy something. Look on the SXS forums or Craigs list and have it shipped, You will still be money ahead. As far as the Arctic cat goes, unless they redesigned the thing its suspension has bad geometry and most reputable offroad shops wont even touch it when it comes to making LT kits. Actually you could find a Rhino with the Outlander 800 in it and have the best of both worlds.

RE: Portable Generator won't power TH.

A friend of mine had a similar issue, Turned out he needed to ground the generator and then it worked fine. He had to drive a stake into the ground and attach a cable to the generator before his MOHO would recognize the generator. That is quite odd. Hey, long time no see. I agree it was odd but he proved it to me. Has something to do with his charging system.

RE: anybody going to Johnson Valley OHV Fathers Day weekend?

Looks like you had a good time. I was thinking the weather would be too hot. We take a break from riding to enjoy the river in the summer but your more than welcome to join us once it cools off again.

RE: Rear Blinker Out

I was just hoping to avoid spending the $20 by asking if people had experianced this before...thanks That's easy, take the light out and check for power at the back with a test light or take a light from the other side that you know works and try it on the side that doesn't.

RE: Rotten Ramp Ruins Relaxing Recreation - REPAIRS COMPLETE!

WOW, Sorry to hear of your troubles. I wonder if washing the Trailer could have contributed to the water getting into the door. Is it possible for pressurized water to find its way through the seams? I would also be careful not to add to much extra weight to the door or it will be tough to raise and lower.
