RE: You Can Catch More B's With Honey Than Vinegar

Even though it is often inconvenient, always give "tours" of the B! Reminds me to keep everything clean. Have also used it to give my friend's service dog a quiet break, provide a bathroom and rest stop for friends while waiting for concerts, sporting events, etc. Make more and keep more friends with a "Honey Bee!" RE: Overnight Camping in Motel Parking Lot

Traveling with two dogs and me being disabled made it necessary for DW to stay two nights at two different HHE in the B while I stayed in the room. We always asked permission and never a problem. DW came in to watch t.v. at night, shower and breakfast in the a.m. Mike

RE: Towing a small car

I have towed my Wrangler to a couple of places where I knew I wanted to leave the Sprinter in camp and "rough road" it! I don't weigh down the van...no extra water, food, etc. and same for the jeep. I always make plans to tank up with water, food and fuel for jeep when I arrive close to camp. I take it very slow, no hurries here and no problems so far. Mike

RE: 2008 Sprinter 2500 dinghy options

I have a 2007 Sprinter that I use to pull a 2008 jeep Wrangler. I never carry anything extra in the jeep and I travel light in the Sprinter on the towing trips. Very little fresh water, all holding tanks emptied, not much food, etc. At my destination for the day, night or week, I fill up with all necessities. For example, I pulled to Quartzsite then filled everything up. With the B, I can leave the jeep and fuel the B or leave the B and go shopping in the jeep! I love the options. When towing, I am very careful to keep a light foot on the accelerator. I'm never in a hurry to get anywhere. I always respect my transmission! My towing rig is a Roadmaster All Terrain Stowmaster. It stays with the jeep and I can hitch up easily by myself. Cost was $1800.00 installed, including locking system, cables, lights, cover. Right now, I don't use a braking system. I'll wait on that. Good luck with your choice. 60+year old Mrs. Mike

Help for DW about towing

This is Mrs. Mike here. Bought my DH a 2008 Jeep Wrangler 4x X for Christmas. Have decided on a Blue Ox Acclaim tow bar or a RoadMaster Stowmaster All Terrain tow bar. Now for installation of all necessary items. We are in Wickenburg and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a place or should we wait and go to Quartzsite and purchase/install there? Any opinions are appreciated. Thanks, Mrs. Mike

RE: Mammouth Mountain

Seconds on Mammoth Mountain RV Park. Close to downtown with shops, restaurants, etc. They keep the roads clear in the park and those heated restrooms are nice. Just watch out if you have slide-outs! We were there for five days...snow at night, sun during the day which turned the snow to ice, more snow at night, etc. We coudn't get our slides in without climbing the ladder, shoveling the snow, pulling in the slides a little, shoveling the snow and ice, etc. We didn't get all the snow off the roof until Lone Pine where we took five more days to defrost! RE: Dumb DW jeep question

Thanks for all your help. We are currently in Wickenburg, AZ and local dealer has gone from giving me a "good deal" on a 2006 to calling today with a "great deal" on an 08! We'll see what happens. Again, thanks to all. Mrs. Mike

Dumb DW jeep question

Hope I can get some help. I want to buy my DH, Whiskey Mike, a jeep for Christmas. I know he wants to tow four down, wants a 4X, an automatic, Wrangler X, 6 cylinder. Any advice? Don't want to say price is no object but there are some great deals happening now. What would be your choice for a year? And what about add-ons for towing? Where do you get those done? I'd like to have everything ready to tow and go. Thanks for any help. Mrs. Mike
