RE: Anyone recommend Las Vegas RV Service?

I have found Double Eagle on Boulder Highway to be great. They don't advertise because "word of mouth" keeps them busy. Very honest people, most suppliers/vendors recommend them, as well as Pleasure Way.
Good Luck

RE: wheel spacers - recommended by PW

Jim,
Thanks so very much for your update information. I guess I'm not quite sure about the groove tracking on my PW, how it should feel. I'm wondering if I drove a PW with spacers if I would feel the difference. My issue has been the winds and semis passing me, but when I slow way down that works for me.

RE: wheel spacers - recommended by PW

My PW drives pretty good. I've learned to drive slower when I feel the PW wibble/wabble (as I call it). I guess I was concerned when I found out that PW automatically installs the spacers now.
Jim - did the spacers you installed correct the stability as you thought it would? I thought the grooves on the interstate everyone was talking about were the ones made by the semis, that my PW doesn't track well. But from your comment, you don't feel any difference with the spacers.
thanks for everyone's comments and help

wheel spacers - recommended by PW

I have a 2006 ford excel ts and according to Phil from PW Canada, that year the wheel spacers were an option. 2007 and newer, the spacers were installed and cost was built into the cost of the PW. He gave me the website of PW's supplier for the wheel spacers (wheeladapter.com). I noticed on some of the posts regarding the spacers, the brand was super track spacers. Is there a difference on brand of spacers?
thanks

RE: Rincon Parkway

just left Rincon this morning. It will be closed from 10/18 - 23 for repairs and repavement. Had 2 wonderful nites by their by the ocean. It was $25 per nite. Wed. it was fairly vacant, this morning all the big class A's with their slide outs were filling up the place. I have a class B and felt so small but protected betweend them :)

RE: Pleasure Way Excel Handling improvements

Hi Jim,
Glad your fixes have helped the handling of your PW. On your tires, were the XPS RIBS LRE or LTX/M/S or LTX/A/S? I didn't realize there were so many different types of RIBS.
thanks,

RE: Class B experience

Hi Jim,
Couldn't agree with you more even though I'm still a "newbie" and keep learning about my PW since I just got it in June. Went on my first long trip to CO, made it up and down Monarch and Wolf Creek passes. Now I'm in CA visiting relatives and it was great staying in the PW with my dog. One of my cousins had a 220 outlet for me to plug into, which was great.
I'm ok with the shower, but I'm a small person, just have to watch the grey water level when not hooked up.
For any single women "lurking" on this website, I'm single, retired and travel alone with one mini dog. I just love the freedom to stop when I want. I am careful and when I travel I found that 300 miles a day or 5 hours driving, which includes stopping for gas, meals, rest stops is enough for me.

Abby,
Thanks for organizing the B West rally at Pagosa Springs. It was good to see everyone again. Really enjoyed the hot springs. Looking forward to next year.

RE: tires - underinflation/overinflation

I just went out and checked the door panel and it read rear 80 psi and front 55 psi. I don't feel comfortable with the 55 in front, seems too low.

tires - underinflation/overinflation

I usually have the rear tires at 80 psi and fronts @ 60. Because I live in the desert with intense heat, I was just told that my fronts are under inflated and should be 70-75. Does the heat make that much difference?
Need advice since I'll be leaving for CO on sun. Thanks much,

RV parks - Montrose CO

I just need a simple RV park for overnight in Montrose, not too expensive for an overnight for 1 person and a mini dog :)
I also believe there is a Walmart in the area, does anyone know if they allow overnighters?

RE: 110,120 - 20 amp, 30 amp and AC use

Last week the a/c motor in the stick house died. I have a class B PW so plugged it into the outside outlet, which I found out is only 15amps. I live in the desert so needed to run the a/c in the PW for the dogs and myself. It was suggested I call Pleasureway to find out the amps to start up the a/c. It takes 20 amps for start up and then runs 10-13 amps, using nothing else in the PW. I was told to plug it into a 20 amp plug in the house.
I could really hear the difference when plugged into the 20 amp from the 15 amp. If the amps are too low you could burn out your a/c.
Find out from RT what the start up amps is for your a/c.

RE: B OUT WEST #2

Thanks about the reassurance about Wolf Creek Pass. This is my first trip in the B, just got it about 4 mos. ago, so was concerned about the mountains.
My son and his family (from CO Springs) may join us. They have a tent or if it rains will join me in the B :) I assume if it rains it would still be warm/hot enough in the hot springs to enjoy. Can't wait to get out of the heat of the desert.

RE: B OUT WEST #2

Anyone traveling on US160 going through Wolf Creek Pass? I'll be coming from Co. Springs and thought I'd go to Pagosa Springs on 160, but have been reading about the Pass.
Have to pack my winter clothes, in NV it is still in the triple digits.
safe travels everyone,

RE: using generator while boondocking

Thanks everyone for all the comments. I haven't had the opportunity to boondock yet. I have a built in onan gen in my class B and yes it is very noisy. I also have a V10 and you're right it idles quietly, had to do that the other day to charge the battery.
I live in the desert and its still in the triple digits, so when the dogs are in the B, I have the generator on for the big dog in the back and the MH air in front on for the mini dog in front who likes the wind in her hair. What I don't do for the dogs :)
