RE: Rebuilding the Wings and Lower back Wall of My Truck Camper

I have an 02 Lance Lite 915 and these stories seem to all focus on Lance 915's. Nothing so far on mine but you have got me worried, good luck.
Bob
It would be interesting and relevant info if folks who have discovered rot could provide the model number of their Lance camper.
I have a 2003 Lance 1010, so far, no rusty screws or rot discovered.

Replacing Marker Light Bulbs

Some of the bulbs for the front & rear marker lights for my Lance 1010 do not work. I assume the bulbs need changing since they are original. While examining the lights I could find no fasteners on the lens, unlike the tail lights. How are the marker light amber covers removed?

RE: Phoenix on weekends

I-10 was closed 2 weekends ago as were sections of 101 & 202. Best to use the website or phone to know which way to go. I expect this to happen for the rest of my life because as soon as they finish the next year they tear it up again.
I am afraid you are correct. AZDOT apparently has little concept of project management or long term planning.

RE: Las Vegas to Phoenix

I would take US95 south to Blythe, then I-10 east to Phoenix. This is less traffic and avoids the steep mountain grades of I-17 from Flagstaff to Phoenix.

RE: Ribeye steaks

We like Willingham's dry rub. It's on the internet.

RE: tire problems on fifth wheel

Partial Quote "I pull a 2007 37' Everest fifth wheel. We have approximately 50,000 miles on it.I am fanatical about proper tire pressure as well as maintaining my rv. We purchased it in April of 07 and since that time we have had numerous tire failures......."
I would switch to Michelin LT235 85 R16 tires.

RE: Lance Camper Sealants

I know Lance specifies white and clear Geocel for Lance camper resealing. I am assuming the products may be less expensive when purchased from somewhere other than a Lance dealer. Can you direct me to a source of supply? It appears Geocel makes a number of products. How do I know which one to purchase if I am not purchasing using the Lance part numbers?
Thanks and happy camping!
Not to change the subject of this post completely, but, is there some kind of sealant softener that makes it easier to remove the old stuff before resealing?

RE: Engine Temperature 07 Dodge CTD 5.9

I have a 2002 Dodge CTD. It's stock thermostat was a 190F t-stat. I bought and installed a Cummins 180 F t-stat which works better for me in the summer Arizona heat. Just something for you to consider.

RE: Fridge Check Light

Just an FYI. I ended up replacing my circuit board with a Dinosaur P-711 board. It lit and stayed lit and cooled very well for the past weekend. I hated to buy the board if I was not sure, but the flue was clean, I removed and cleaned the burner and gas nozzle/orifice. I relented and replaced the board and it work great.

RE: Erratic Turn Signals & Running Lights

A small brass brush for the male ends and a screwdriver small enough to scrape out the female connectors. Dielectric grease the connections once all is shiny clean.
I will give it a try. Thanks!
I was up close to your neck of the woods this past weekend. Wife and I spent a few days in the woods off of the Young Road on the Mogollon Rim. Got as far east as Canyon Point to dump the tanks.

RE: Erratic Turn Signals & Running Lights

I found an internal short in my plug, so it is possible. Are you sure the plug ends are clean and corrosion free?
I have never cleaned them. What kind of contact cleaner should I use?

Erratic Turn Signals & Running Lights

I have a 2003 Lance 1010. Sometimes my turn signals do not work and sometimes my running lights (tail lights and marker lights) don't work. If I wiggle the plug they work then stop working with the vibration when driving. Could the plug have broken or faulty pins? Can I buy a plug and rewire it or does the entire cable need replacement? Is the plug and receptacle a Lance specific part? Any help you folks can provide is very much appreciate. Thanks in advance for all replies.

RE: Fridge Check Light

All other appliance and generator run fine. The fridge works great on 120VAC, but when I switch it to gas, it only lasts 5-10 minutes.
I will try to locate the igniter contacts on the circuit board and inspect/clean.
Is there a high temperature shutdown sensor? What function does the thermistor provide? Thanks guys.

RE: Fridge Check Light

Yes, the thermocouple is in the flame. I did not clean igniter contacts, but it lights and burns for about 5 minutes, so I do not think it would be igniter.

Fridge Check Light

I have a 2003 Dometic model RM 3663, 3-way. It works on AC and when swithched over to gas it will light and run for about 5 miutes on gas. I removed the burner assembly and cleaned it with compressed air, cleaned the thermocouple and also cleaned the propane jet/nozzle with compressed air, then reinstalled with no improvement.
If anyone has a similar experience or ideas please let me know. Thanks for all replys.
