RE: X-Wheel Chocks

I use 1 in the driveway to make it that much harder to steal, two if we are in the traile. Amazing product!

RE: Electrical hookup in Canada

Be sure to buy a moose-proof 30-amp extension. Otherwise you may find yourself up to your cheeks in snow in the middle of the night wondering why you have no electricity.

RE: Protect your 5'er !!

Another vote for something other than the kingpin locks. On big rigs when we "lose" the keys a couple whacks with a hammer and off it falls. I have seen other drivers back into them to hook up, not knowing they were there (???) and them falling off too.

RE: X-Chock Tire Locking Question

I have two and they work best together... awesome product.

RE: People who park cars in designated RV spaces

I have parked my truck in the rv parking when all of the auto spaces have been filled. I also park in the tractor trailer areas if I am towing the trailer. Does this mean that a trucker will put a note on my window. Fine, be annoyed, but grow up. A lot of nerve of some people.

RE: BAL-X CHOCKS - THE CASE FOR USING EITHER 1 OR 2

With one there is still some movement. With two the trailer is rock steady. We use this on a hybrid.

RE: Cleaning Questions

Second vote for the magic erasers or the dollar store equivalent for the fridge and the tire marks!

RE: Digital SLR - Canon or Nikon

I am very happy with my Canon T1i, my second Canon. Definitely go to a shop where you can play with both and see which one feels right for you.

RE: Can I keep my PUP hitched for a day?

If you have a battery on board you should not hook up your lights... you can drain the battery in your tow vehicle. Be sure to check your lights when you leave or leave a sticky on your steering wheel to remind yourself to plug them in.

RE: Is it just me or does the TC not look level in the bed?

That's to make it easier to roll out of bed.

RE: What single tool proved to be very valuable to you?

Duct tape. A semi passed me going under an overpass and suckedthe large emergency exit window over the sofa open on the 401. The suction was enough to strip the aluminum catch. It remained in the closed position attached to the sill on the inside with the screen and blinds. Fortunately I noticed the window sailing straight out from the trailer in my mirror. Pulled to the side of the road and duct tape/sealed all around the window to get me home.

RE: Found out the hard way...

"Jayco (and other brands using cheap plastic latches) could really have their hands full if anyone got hurt badly." your child leaned against a screen door and fell out... how is this Jayco's fault? Glad to hear that she is ok.

RE: Flying J now charges $10 to dump grey/black

What, pay for a service?? Probably an issue after the number of large RV's that do not buy their fuel at Flying J, dump their tanks and then park for the night with their slides out and generators running.
