RE: Dune Sport Toyhauler - the good, bad and ugly?

JT...... I'm gettin a toyhauler, not a horse trailer :B
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y3/56Nomad/cat_car_toyhauler.jpg
That is what I thought too Howie till i Actually been inside one. we almost bought a Featherlight Gooseneck Hauler. except the wife did not like the Kitchen Sink it was only as big as the bathroom sink. other than that the thing was built like a rock and NICE inside.

RE: 8 Die In CA Off Road Race

well, my input here is complete. I only got on here to research the value of my trailer and ran across this thread. It's weird to argue this point with people that weren't even there. But to keep the record straight: My input was to make sure people heard the truth. I'm not here to get even, or to vent my pain, I had closure when I felt my buddy's arm looking for a pulse. This wreck, not accident, happened because a little boy living off mommy and daddy felt the need to show off how fast his truck was. Not because people were standing too close. It's the responsibility of the driver not to pass another vehicle through the crowd. Whether you're racing or not it's your responsibility to keep control of your vehicle. Driving that fast with that many people that close wasn't responsible.
What Sloppy did was equivalent to ditching a plane in a neighborhood when he could've ditched into the ocean, but chose not to because he couldn't swim. You don't swerve/pass another vehicle into the crowd, you avoid people at all cost, if you're a man that is.
As Fly-boy stated, your pain is tremendous and Everyone here understands that.
People stood that close to the rockpile for the exact reason the accident happened, Because drivers hit it hard and fast and get big air and the crowd loved being that close to it. I was not there but have been at many races in the past, this tragedy was bound to happen sooner or later and it tragic that it happened to your friend,

RE: what are those things?

Those things are made for light weight trailers, not RVs. The axle is not strong enough to support the weight of a RV.
Axle not strong enough to support the weight of a RV? If the axle is not supporting the weight what is?

RE: Mesa, AZ to Pismo Beach

I would vote for 10 to 210 to 5 north to 126. 126 ends on 101 in Ventura. Better than going over the Grapevine only to come back down on the back side. 126 is a nice road through Fillmore, two lane hwy/freeway most of the way except the five or so miles in Fillmore. The driving distance is about 10 miles further taking 5/126 vs. the 101 but it is consistently faster with less traffic, even on a "get away" day.
The way I would go coming from the south, the Grade from the LA basin through Santa Clarita is nothing. and you will bypass all the malibu traffic.

RE: American flag awning

Hello
Thank you to the veterens who have served for our country to maintain our way of Life and the freedoms that we have today.
That said
I thought what a great Idea I want one I love it. What is wrong with An Awning silk screened like a flag.
How about we focus our unhappiness to the Yahoos burning our flag IN the US.
Or the Yahoos putting the Mexico Flag Above Ours IN the USA and Putting the US Flag UPside DOWN Under The MEXICO FLAG in the USA. An RV AWNING with a USA flag resemblance NOT DISRESPECTFUL in MY BOOK. I want one
Again to the active Military and retirees and veterans thank you very Much
have A great Day
Chris
As a Veteran, I see no disrespect in having an awning that is screened in the american flag, I only have one request to the Persons that may do this is to keep it CLean and maintained as best you can.

RE: 1st annual So Cal Meet and Greet KOA Glamis North

Slab city's been in a couple of movies. Its where the, lets say homeless people live that don't like the city, free people, trailer people.
I beleive it was once gonna be a city for lets say the Military lots of concrete slabs for homes. Houses were intended to be built for the military but where never built. So left behind were roads and no houses on built on them, streets abandoned. Then the traverlers moved in and thus Slab City.
Also a Guy built a Jesus Monuments there and I beleive is still there maintaining it.
Its a Land Mark. :) "Into the Wild"
