Don't fool yourself. We recently sold our 5er and got full asking price on it. We used NADA as a guide, seller didn't even haggle on the price. Our unit was CLEAN and well cared for. They said they had seen some "abused and stinky" units. I feel fortunate, the 2nd couple to see it, bought it. We listed in on Craigs list and the local paper.

Happy 21st Birthday to Stephanie!!! I read your post with goosebumps. Elizabeth was also 13 weeks premature, weighed in at 2 lbs 2oz. and spent the first 2 months of her life at the NICU. Miracles are just that, MIRACLES. These girls are fighters, and I commend you and Soon, it's not easy, (in fact watching them when they were sooo tiny, it breaks your heart daily) but it makes life worth living at the same time. Stephanie is a survivor, a fighter and a determined young lady. She made it this far because God has big plans for her, Congratulutions to her, Happy Birthday!!!!

I drive by a very busy intersection everday at the same time, and every afternoon there is someone panhandling. Recently I saw the exchange of one panhandler passing his sign on to the next guy to take the next "shift"... it makes me sick. I "try" not to give to panhandlers but it is sooo hard to distinguish the scammers from the needy. I now try to stop when I see someone who needs help, wether it be a hat, gloves, scarf, cup of coffee, meal, anything but cash.

We just sold our 5er using Craigslist. I was VERY nervous about it... but it worked out. the Buyer was local (15 miles away) and when we delivered the trailer, he hadn't set his truck up yet (and really had no idea of what all he needed to do). He offered to buy our truck as well, when the buyer see's how well set up the truck and trailer work already they will jump at the opportunity to just buy and be done. Maybe we were fortunate. It sold quickly and for full price (they didn't even haggle at all) 2nd couple out bought it. Good luck to you.

Sherry, funny you mention the family that bought it. We spoke to them on Monday evening. They took it out to Lake Tahoe already. They loved it. They have 3 daughters (just like us) and one dog. The wife told Ramon to be sure and tell me that they are taking good care of it and they are making the kids take their shoes off when they come in. LOL!! (she was real impressed with how clean it was, and told me when they bought it that she would continue to take good care of it) I swear I AM NOT ANAL!!!!! (be quiet Vince, nothing from the peanut gallery please ) :B

Hear Ye, Hear Ye..... OK that will probably be the last time I post as a Rally Queen (ok, maybe not :W )
I have some news...... Ramon and I decided several weeks ago that we would sell our trailer. We just don't camp anymore, with the kids getting older/busier and me going back to work, it just didn't make any sense to let the trailer sit lonely for months at a time. We weren't sure how long the process would take given the economy and all, and we certainly were not going to give it away, but to our surprise the second couple that saw it..bought it. So now we are trailerless and a Rally needs to planned. So...that is were you all come into play, WE NEED A WAGON MASTER.... I considered driving in for the day, driving in and staying at a hotel, and even bunking with someone. But the reality is ... it's just not feasible.
The location is reserved. The spreadsheet with the attendies is created, and I would be more than happy to pass this all along to someone who could continue on with the Monster Mash tradition that was started years ago. I apoligize if I have let you down, but life happens, and I gotta do what is right for my family right now.
So I humbly ask for someone or somebodies to please step up to the plate and continue forward with this Rally.

Have Fun Terry.... 30 days and 30 nights sounds like alot of fun.
We're packed up and heading to Magic Mtn then Vegas. We'll only be gone 7 days though, enjoy your Cross-Country adventure. And you should be worried...treat Claudia nice!

I'm not sure if it is luck or this actually works, but we've NEVER had a mouse in our trailer. It is parked in a storage lot, next to several fields and open spaces. We read on here several years ago that mice don't like the smell of dryer sheets, so my husband took lots of dryer sheet and stuffed them anywhere he thought mice could get in, then he secured the sheets with duct tape (I think he just wanted an excuse to use duct tape) anyway, he periodically changes out the dryer sheets for fresh one's. We've never had mice and the trailer always smells good. It's a win/win. good luck

It sure has been quiet around here, that must mean everyone is out have fun .. Kathie, glad you had a good time. I thought that was you waiving as you drove by. It was hot down here, so I bet you had perfect weather. Andy has been slacking off, and yes there is such thing as a "Cranky Pants" and believe me, you DON'T want to see it.
