RE: Plasma or LCD

I have 50" PLASMA in the house. great pic,but it weight about 2x that of a LCD.
and it emits ALOT of heat.
I will go with an LCD next time.I have one in the 5er and love it
you could look into the newer LED LCD's and see if you like them.

RE: Are Awinings useful or are they just something to have

Mine was broken for the Labor Day weekend.
I had to pull out the old EZ-Up.
Pain in the arse. needless to say I have it
in to be fixed before next outing.
I use it EVERY time i'm out.

RE: Levelers or levelers??

I use them or blocks of wood to help yes.
the more closed the "Scissor" jacks are the
more it will cut down on trailer movement

RE: Dishnetwork - Questions for RV use

Kinda of off subject but....
I'm new to this SAT in the RV thing.
tried to help FI with his and now luck.
can you connect your sat to connection on Rv ext
and connect your SAT box inside or is there a wiring
issue? Do to the "cable" connection.

RE: Mako 5th wheels

I've had mine for a year and the only real complaints are:
1.Stock water pump was WAY too loud.
2.Stock mattress needed upgrading
3.Had to add 2nd Battery (not included)
Other than that the family and I LOVE this thing.
It's not as easy to store as our Pop-up
But hey we wanted something bigger.

RE: telescopic spring shocks under bed

I would try an auto parts store.
NAPA or McMaster-Carr is where I found some for a similar project.

RV Bumper Hitch

I'm looking into adding a cargo tray to the back of my 5er.
(I know weight issues).
I was gonna weld 2 recievers to the frame rails then
attach the tray that way.
But today while at my storage unit I saw a CURT unit in the TT
parked next to me I figure if I used 2 of them on my 4" bumper
it might work. I think I got the link right check it out.
My tray weighs in it at 60lbs with the hitch material.
I'd like to mount my 2 honda 2000's and 2 adult mtn bikes.
I'm sure someone will chime in with some useful remarks so Please fire away.

RE: battery size question

Use what is best for you.
I used a 24 in my PUP for 4 years
Never thought about upgrading.
In my 5er I have a single 27 and will likely go to 2
or switch over to 6V this summer
With the move aren't you gonna have to rewire the leads to your TV?
Not that it'll be tough. Not to mention what happen in a rear impact?

RE: BBQ Grill Suggestions, Cooking for 5 ???

My Weber Q has never failed me and my 3 girls.
I usually have room for more.
you can get the leg attachment or use it on a table top
It comes with a handy cover or you can get a storage bag.

RE: A sleeping bed ?

I have a sleep number at home. BEST bed ever!
In the 5er I have the standard (short) queen from factory.
I went to the local foam shop and bought a 4 inch memory foam
(waffle pattern)and while it's not the sleep number it sure works for me.
I can't see spenning the 1K for the 5er mattress.
This was like $250 foam.
