RE: P/U camper insurance

I'm with KBLASOR.... Just a rider on my truck insurance policy...adds about $3/month. Kind of ridiculous as our Artic Fox 1140 is easily worth twice what the 99-f-350 is, but that's the way it is. We are in AZ also. No license here for the camper. https://www.rv.net/SharedContent/cfb/memberphotos/22968631/rig/landyacht.jpg

RE: How cold does your TC fridge stay in hot weather?

Check the air baffles around the condensor coils. My Artic Fox TC Norcold fridge experienced the same thing. After reading the installation manual I found that they it makes a BIG deal about the amount of space that is allowable around the outside of the coils. It's not much, like 1 inch max. If it is more, then air can go around the coils rather then through. When I brought this up to the dealer they agreed and built the baffles to fix it under warranty. I am going to pick it up Wed from the dealership. They say that it was 117 on their lot yesterday (PHX AZ)and the fridge was holding 39 degrees with no a/c on in the camper. I'll buy that. Sean

RE: Photo Thread - Post a Photo of Your Truck Camper Here

Oh yeah...a 450 would be nice...I've got the 350 setup pretty good though. So far have rancho 9000's, Roadmaster Swaybar, Firestone airbags, Superchip, pyrometer and trans temp guage, 4" muffler upgrade. Yeah, a 450'd be nice but my 350 is about paid for!! :) sean http://lh3.ggpht.com/_SstwtYysxJ4/SlJ9b6G5Y-I/AAAAAAAABvA/VAobf3fYpXI/s512/san%20juan%20blog%20002.jpg

No, it's not wood, but it is a lapstrake hull. This shot was from last month when we towed her 1500 miles up to the San Juan and Candian Gulf Islands and then spent 2 weeks sailing about a 200 mile loop through the islands with a group of similar boats. Fantastic trip. First truck camper trip for us and it worked great...after about $3000 worth of mods to the truck to handle the load.
