RE: Where did you mount air bag compressor?

I don't think so, but you could wire in a switch pretty easy. Locate the switch in the cab and turn it on and off when you wanted.

RE: Where did you mount air bag compressor?

I just mounted the Airlift wireless system on my buddies 06 2500 chev cc. We mounted the compressor on the frame rail about under the driver door and the control unit on a piece of 1/8" alum. sheet a little farther back. No wires or hoses in the cab. Way easier the the dual guage unit I did on my f350.

RE: 2009 Ford F350 DRW CC Diesel

My 2008 got just over 10mpg last summer on a 11 day trip from Oly to Idaho. We went to Wapato lake, Grand Coulee Dam, Silverwood, Vantage, and Deception Pass. Mods coming after warranty, I have 14,150 on it now, and I love it. Welcome.

RE: Should I be worried about fast gun theft?

I have the Fastguns and the locks. If we are staying more than 2 days I drop the camper and put the Fastguns and the locks in the basement tray. Quick, easy and peace of mind.

RE: Camper sway

Campers do move around a bit, when I first took ours out I was surprised, but after talking to a few guys I found out they all move around some. I thought they were supposed to be rock solid, but found out they rock instead. Probably pretty normal.

RE: Dodge Steering Box Stabilizer

I installed one on my buddies 2000 Dodge 2500 4x4 about 6 months ago and he noticed improvement right away. His wife drove it the next day and called him while on the road and asked what he did to the truck. Good investment.

RE: Suspension: Spring Upgrade vs. Air Bags / Timbrens with TC

I love my air-bags and compressor set up, after I added the stable loads I reduced my bag pressure to about 35-40 psi from 65-80 psi. The ride is better and unloaded the ride is stock.

RE: Torklift Stable Loads

I remove my stable loads when I'm not going to be camping for a while, don't like the sqeaking on the overloads when going over bumps.

RE: Tork Lifts

I have torklifts on the front and back and fastguns and stableloads, with air bags and compressor. Easy install in the F350's, don't know why you would only go with the fronts? Not cost, RadAuto has great prices and fast shipping. Have fun camping, can't wait for the drier weather.

RE: What height garage door??

My F350 is 4wd and with my Citation, it clears my 14' door fine but wouldn't with a 12'. My neighbor has 12' doors on his shop and his new AF sits outside.

RE: Help! Electric Jack mounting questions..loose on rear??

A buddy of mine had rot problems with his Snowriver, he got the help of a RV repairman. He lives in Federal Way area and works for cash afterhours. His camper turned out better than new and only cost him about $400, he had to do a little work and material fetching but the overall cost was a lot lower than a dealer and he helped and oversaw the process. If you want contact info send me a pm.

RE: Happi-jack question

My bumpers are attached to the camper and come from the factory that way. My camper doesn't move at all thanks to the rubber matt I installed in the bed, also recommeded by the manufacturer.

RE: Air bags and compressor

I have the dual air command with the heavy duty pump, it's rated at 145psi and has a 40% duty cycle. It's mounted under the truck around the driver's seat area, I have plenty of room for a tank, the tank is coming later with train horns. I just checked the bottom of the truck for the cleanest location after driving around on dirty roads. I have no room under my hood with this 6.4 diesel.

I take mine off on my Ford because I have a step bumper and they wouldn't work together.

RE: Clearance above truck cab?

Citation recommends 3" min. I have 3 1/2 with the welded aluminum frame I added underneath.

RE: Air Bag fill locations?

I prefer having an in cab controller and on board compressor. I can adjust on the fly and let it all out when I drop the TC.

RE: SRW or DRW?

Dually's are ugly, hard to drive, they have no friends, their bad neighbors.....hahaha! I have a SRW but I really like the F450's. If I choose to get a bigger camper then I will get a...cough, cough, dually. :)
