RE: Air Bag fill locations?

I prefer having an in cab controller and on board compressor. I can adjust on the fly and let it all out when I drop the TC.

RE: SRW or DRW?

Dually's are ugly, hard to drive, they have no friends, their bad neighbors.....hahaha! I have a SRW but I really like the F450's. If I choose to get a bigger camper then I will get a...cough, cough, dually. :)

RE: best way to easily take off leer camper shell

Yeah, whoa on the picture size, I just started using Photobucket and might have to experiment to get the pics a little smaller. On the other hand it sure is easy to see all the little details....

RE: best way to easily take off leer camper shell

Here is another choice if you have the room. I have a Garage Gorilla hoist system, then I built a metal frame to lower down, I jack up the canopy and slide rails underneath, hook up the cables and lift it off. http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/yy161/sprink699/005.jpg width=640http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/yy161/sprink699/036.jpg width=640http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/yy161/sprink699/031.jpg width=640

RE: New Super Duty Diesel on the Horizon

Just got the latest copy of Diesel Power mag., they have a complete write up on the new 6.7 Scorpion motor. No actual power numbers, or mileage, but expecting "significant increase in mileage" according to Ford. Power est. are 385 hp and 700 tq. The heads flow backwards compared to a normal motor, the intake ports are on the outside of the head and the lifter galley is the exhaust, looks promising.

RE: Dually VS SRW....I was in Horror Driving my SRW Truck

Hey Brad, his TC is an 99 8'6" w/slide, and he says it's actually lighter than that.....I gave him a little room. :)

RE: Dually VS SRW....I was in Horror Driving my SRW Truck

Wow! 4500lbs on a 3/4 ton. A buddy of mine has a 2006 3/4 ton Chevy with and 2600 lb Snowriver on it and that makes him nervous. I'll bet you were worried. Glad you got your set-up on track.

RE: Replacement fuel tanks

Just got back from an 1100 miles roadtrip with the camper, my 2008 f350 with the 6.4 powerstroke was getting 11.2 on the comp. and a little over 10.5 calc. by hand. I have a 38 gallon tank in my truck, do you have a shortbed? I didn't know the tanks were that small.

RE: How to Adjust Airbag Pressure??

Having the in cab controller makes finding the "Sweet spot" alot easier. I run different pressures in my bags almost every time we go out. Depending on what we are carrying in the back. Usually only about + or - about 10 lbs.

RE: 09 Lance 830 Does not fit 08 F-250 !

My 2001 Citation Supreme has 2 rubber bumpers attached to the front of it and without these it would not fit in my 2008 longbed F350. As is there is only about 3/4" of room between my camper and the taillights....tight!

RE: Exterior wall seperating from floor

My buddy has a 99 Snowriver and on the 4th weekend we were getting ready to leave and I noticed a gap above his driverside tiedown cleat. He is now in the process of rebuilding the side of his camper. Hope this isn't your problem. Good luck.

RE: 2005 Ford F350 Question

Excessive idling can be a big problem, 3-5 minutes max., unless you have a high idle mod. Even then long periods of idling are not good for a diesel.

RE: jack stands (again)

I have some small aluminum jack stands I bought from camping world. They stack together and are very sturdy. The contact pad on top is only about 1 1/2", and they are adjustable from 11" to 21" so your camper is pretty low. But with a few small pieces of plywood on top they would work great. I have an aluminum frame under my camper so the small pad on top works good. 25.00 bucks for the set.
