RE: My Battery - this winter

My camper, a 2004 model stays hooked to power year round. Mine still has the original battery. That is 6 seasons so far. I am wondering how long it will last. Turn off everything in your camper and leave it hooked to 115v and all will be well. I would check the water lever when you winterize.

RE: New F 150, Have ?

Thanks everyone. is 2 parts. 1. is about the size of a quater only square. it has 4 metal plug ins so I would say it is a fuse or probably some kind of relay. The other is about the size of the connector on your phone land line that clips into the wall or back of phone. It is a pink/flesh color. Looks like it might be to connect 2 different wire ends that would normaly would not mate up. I will let the dealer plug them in if needed. I am just courious and trying to learn about this new truck. Lot more high tech that my Tundra. Thanks again

Ford F 150

Thinking about selling my Tundra and getting a 2009/2010 F 150. Will get the 5.4 engine with the 6 speed trans. I am wondering what gear to get. The 3.73 is a little harder to find used or on the lot, 3.55 or whatever it is is more common. Don't think I would ever be pulling over 7000 and would probably try to keep it at 6500lbs. Probably be getting a Rockwood TT I am wondering if any of you have the mentioned setup with the 3.55 gear and how does it tow and what are you towing. Also concerned with everyday gas milage with the 3.73. What is your experience? Thanks

Wingman Sensar Antenna Upgrade

I am thinking about getting this am wondering how much room it takes up as my antenna now lies part way beside of the AC unit. The beam that raises up and down is on the AC side and the head and the wing ant. in toward the awning. How much room do I need and a picture of one installed would be great. I am really dissapointed with the new TV reception since the change. Thanks for any help.

RE: Experience with a Prest-o-fit outdoor awning rug?

WE have been looking for one as well. I read the reviews in Camping World about the woven straw like rugs and seems like they are not liked much, I really can't find anything else.

Roadside Assistance Insurance

Getting ready to get some insurance (roadside) in case I break down some of these days. I am considering 2, Good Sams and Coach Net I think it is called. Would like to hear from some of you who have used these and what do you recommend. I posted here in Travel Trailers because we have the problem of 2 pieces of equipment on the side of the road if we have a break down. Going to pull to Myrtle beach next month and that is 500 miles one way so thought some insurance was in order. Thanks Ed

RE: Cowan Lake S.P. Ohio

We love Cowan, things to do in the area and nice big campsites. Lots of coons that will walk right under your chair while u are in it if u sit real quiet. Ceasar Creek we hated, pick Cowan over Ceaser any time.

Help pick a site in Salt Fork,Ohio

Thinking about going to Salt Fork SP, Ohio this summer for a week. Never been there so could anyone recommend some good sites to reserve. If there are NON pet sited we would be interested as we have no pets. We usually go to Lake Cowan and love it there but thought we might try something different. We have a 23 ft TT and like evening shade. Any help appreciated. Thanks Ed in WV
