I am in the market for a PU and would really like to have one with the front deck however my TV is limited to 3500 pounds gross towing and a lot of the models will be real close to this fully loaded. The Jayco Baja 10y shows a dry weight almost 400 pounds less then the starcraft 11 rt and fleetwood evolution 2 and about 50 pounds less on the tounge but has a GVWR of 4000 pounds so I was wondering has anyone actualy weighed there units with shower option to see what they weigh? as I said before I will not tow this trailer with the deck loaded. I just want the deck for when I upgrade my TV I will have it for the dirtbikes thanks.

I think you may have a problem. My unit has the shower potty, shown below with weights, and is very similar to the Baja but I believe it has a heavier frame for the weight designed to go on the platform.
In looking at Jayco's site the Baja 10C or 10Y models gross at some 4000#. The 10D and the 10Z are some 3225# each with the 225# hitch weights. I am sure this weight is without the shower option.
When I got my optional shower and potty unit I think I was told it weighed about 300# to add.
It would appear that the Baja's would be a full load and maybe then some for your TV.

Towing a Baja 10Y with a Ranger (4.0 V6). Same 3500 max as your TV. I have to be careful or I'll find myself doing 80 MPH down the interstate.
We've gone on a couple of hilly roads (no mountains yet) and it seems to be ok.
JMHO, YMMV

Actually the Ranger 4.0L has a GCWR of over 9000 pounds and a fantasy tow rating of over 5000 pounds. Main reason I bought a Super Cab Ranger over the raft of 3500 pound fantasy tow rating vehicles.

I can't speak of the total weight, but my Baja 10z has a LOT of tongue weight, real close to 400 lbs, and no large front deck. I have the duel propane tanks, and 2 grp 27 batts. Tows like a dream though...

Not when it is a 4X4 with the manual transmission at 6K ft in altitude. Book on it at sea level (owner's manual) is 3100 lbs max tow.

That's true, don't see many of that combination, sorry for assuming you had the automatic.
But, it does point out one thing with tow vehicles there are lots of factors that make up a tow rating.
In any case get the true figures for the exact vehicle you have or are considering and use them rather than the "best case" fantasy tow rating.
Most of the 3500 pound ratings include the laoding in the vehicle as well as anything towed behind the vehicle.
My truck lists a 5500+ pound tow rating, but since it's a 4 door super cab it actually weighs 400 pounds over the "listed empty weight" so my "tow rating" is 400 pounds lower before I even add a passenger.
