You can officially take Dale Evens Parkway off the list. I got a definate answer, it is private property and you will be sited.
Dear Miranda;
You heard correctly, it is private property, you can ride on private
property but you need written permission from the landowner.I suggest you
go up farther to Hodge Road and exit to the right this will take you to
Stoddard Valley OHV Recreational Area and you can ride and camp legally.
Hope this helps you in your endeavor to keep the law. Thank you for your
interest in The Bureau of Land Management Recreational Opportunities.

Keep going past all the State Park fee area stuff to a BLM ATV staging area where boondocking is allowed. Lots of trails from here.
A challenging one is up to Crown King for a beer and burger at the Saloon. We did it a day after a rain/snow storm, there were a couple times I was wishing I had my snowmobile!

Butt can you explain map datum and or how to recognize what
wgs-84
nad-83
nad-27
looks like.
At the risk of sounding like a geek, I'll try to explain. A datum is basically a grid on the planet. Maps are drawn according to these grids. How Garmin describes it.
Description of WGS-84 (NAD-83 is basically the same thing).
Description of NAD-27
The difference between the 2 different Datum's (WGS-84/NAD-83 and NAD-27) are a couple hundred meters in 2 directions, usually South and East (if I remember right). Unless you're trying for hyper-accuracy (like geocaching) then leaving your GPS set to WGS-84 should work fine. If you're using a pre-printed topographic map, make sure your GPS Datum is set to the same datum as the map was drawn to.
And then there's the Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) system...... The metric system of Lat/Lon!
EDIT: Fixed the quote so the post read correctly. (Good info here, SAR Tracker!)

I'll have to take a little time to sift through this to understand it. One question I have is, how do you get your Garmin GPS and Google Earth to use the same coords? If I punch my Garmin coords into Google Earth, it takes me to the right place, but displays different coords. If I punch the Google Earth coords into my Garmin, I get the wrong location.
Help me Mr. Wizard.

The coordinate formats have to be the same in both applications.
I think Google Earth defaults to "Degrees, Minutes, Seconds" (click on "Tools" then "Options"), so set your Garmin to "hddd mm'ss.s" (click on the setup menu on your particular unit, highlight the selection, and then scroll to the format you want.) That's why I use UTM.... only one format!

Here is one from Canada........
The areas around Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada have some awesome quading (plus camping and fishing). There are many well planned and maintained trails. An excellent place to start is Crane Lake (N54 30.309 W110 35.137) or Tucker Lake (N54 31.935 W110 38.802), but there are many, many other excellent places in the immediate area.
