One side under the bed is "hollow", for storage. We cut a door at the foot of the bed into this storage. The catbox goes up at the top with a rug under it to catch the litter as he comes out. The bed raises up for easy cleanout. There's also room in there for the "supplies" such as extra litter and scoop. Spoiled kitty also has a nightlight to help him find his way!

I had the litter box under the dinette. Cut and framed a hole for them to get in and out. When my youngest got asthma I decided it was probably too confined (dusty) under there for her so I took it out and it sits at the end of the bed. Lots of room for it there. Like dylansmom, I can't imagine putting it in the shower. I also am a full-timer and think it would be way too much of a hassle to have to move the box every time I took a shower.

In my Cougar, under the entertainment center, is a panel that does nothing but look pretty. I replaced this panel with a sliding door that opens to the basement. I placed the litter box, water pan and food bowl in the basement, and just cracked the door just enough for the cat to go through and do his thing.

We are in a TT, and keep it under the couch (in the storage area there)...the cats had claimed it as teir lair anyway, so we tried putting it down there...they have plenty of room to use it, Provides them with their "privacy" (!), it's out of sight and away from the dogs (eeewe). We use Feline Pine, so there's seldom a problem with odor.

After reading all of these I went through my entire 5er looking at the various spots people mentioned. I do eventually plan on selling this 5er so making a modification I wanted it to be in an out of the way spot.
lckcmk seems to have shown me the best option for my 5er. I'm not even using the under bed storage right now and it is split in half (half on each side of a center support). Cutting a hole in this and putting in a cat door shouldn't be difficult and the "out of site" is nice.
Now I just need to find a kitten, box trained already.

Well, I'm glad someone shared the best option (if available). Under the bed is the primo answer for those of us who have the storage space underneath the bed. We travel with two dogs and a cat so the litterbox and the cat food have to be safely away from the dogs. We installed the very smallest kitty door at the foot of the bed and it's hidden by the comforter. I can't believe it took us two trips to figure this out. It's so convenient and Foxy loves her own private space.

This is where I put mine, cats go to the first step, little door is opened, I can also latch it shut, they got through the hole into the forward compartment where litter box is. No smell. There is a light there, if I want to leave on. Also going to make a screen so when parked, they can go down and look out and catch a little bit of air.

Also, got tired of kicking their bowls and having a mess, so I made a feeding station for them.

We fulltime in a small Casita TT. 17 ft. Our cats have an outside cage which they access through the outside storage area. I cut through to the inside and installed a cat door.
