I had my recall done today, while I waited. I was in their store shopping but it only took about a 1/2 hour.

Rock,

Great news. What did they actually do that only took such little time?

Would you mind taking a picture of the fix and posting the picture?

The part was on a piece of cardboard wrapped in plastic. I also felt I did not need to watch, this a very reputable dealer.

I'll try to get a picture if I can notice a difference.

Jump over to the tech issues forum for a very good explanation of the fix. There are something like 52 postings. Look at the last few.

Since my Dometic model is on the recall list, I called the dealer where it was purchased ( app. 25 miles from my house ). They said I could bring it in and leave it a few days. Huh? A Dometic representative told me it might take an hour - or less. I called another RV sales/service about 45 miles from here and told them I hated to have to bring it down, leave it and then come back and pick it up. They must have had sympathy for me as they told me to bring it down Monday around 10 am and I could wait.
I guess I can look at their stock while I'm waiting.

UPDATE. I got there earlier than 10 am, only to find an arrogant Service Manager who seems to think he was doing me a favor. Maybe they were, but I am sure they got paid handsomely by Dometic!
Well, after a while wait, the mechanic comes out and tells us there is a problem. He got the recall parts installed but the outside vent access cover won't fit on properly without pushing in on the burner pipe. He tells me that out of 60 he has worked on, he's never had a problem however this is the first one in a hybrid. After calling Dometic, he works on it probably an hour more and brings me the keys and says it got it figured out. After being asked to leave the service bin by the service manager while checking on the progress, I am ready to leave - never to return. Even though I was not looking for anything special in their stock, I certainly would not make a purchase there now with his attitude.
Hopefully my fridge is fixed. Right now it is home under my garage and plugged in to shore power.

ALL hybrid owners might want to make sure you specify that it is a hybrid with you call for an appointment. My Dometic model is a 2652.
