All Ford Truck owners are invited to attend a meet in Gatlinburg, TN for July 25-27, 2008.
We are planning a few events for the weekend (including a dinner/cookout) and there will be a lot campfire antics. We are also planning some fun events for the kids.
We have chosen Twin Creek RV Resort (1-800-252-8077) as our designated CG. This is a Good Sam's CG and offers a 10% discount. The CG is closed for the season now, but reservations can still be made; if you leave a voice message, they will call you back. If you are traveling with pets, please call about their policy (they do not allow pets in 'canvas sided trailers').

Nice post Mark!
For anyone that is interested in this event and actually books...please PM me personally as my wife and I are helping to coordinate all the attendees.
Please PM me the names of the attendees (for name tags), number of and ages of your children. If you are bringing a dog (my wife is doing something for dogs too!), an email address (we won't share that with anyone unless you agree to let the group see it...your choice)...but emailing each attendee with events is for planning, a phone number and where you are coming from.
The link above is to the Rally main thread...be warned though...it is a long post...but the pertinent information is contained in the first page or two.
While the 'official' dates are July 25-27...many like myself are planning the week there with arrival on July 24 and departing August 1. There is LOTS to do in that area for those that have never been.
Here are some of the initial ideas of events we are planning:
Here's some PRELIMINARY ideas...
- White water rafting
- Sweet Fanny Adams Theater
- Horse back riding
- Dollywood
- Hillybilly golf (putt putt golf down the side of a hill)
- Winery tours
- Elvis Museum (a must for my little girl!)
- Go Karts
- Zorb
- Group drives to various sight seeing spots (Cades Cove, etc) we've got a bunch of Ford Excursions and Super Duties already...
At the campground
- Potluck dinner (everyone brings something to share)
- Smoker dinner as we have a guy bringing a TOW BEHIND smoker (bring meat smoke or use the kitty to pay for meat the guy brings...your choice)
- Egg boil (really cool way to have a breakfast...everyone's egg omelet comes out the same time)
- Kids crafts
- Kids games
- Softball?
- Horse shoes
- Campfire games (find this part on your truck...prizes awarded (likely))
- Campfire jokes/stories/make fun of GM/Dodge trucks...hey this is a FORD EVENT!
- ADULT CAMPFIRE TIME...kids go to bed at 'xxxx' time...

For anyone interested in this rally.
Twin Creek is a Good Sam's park...which means Good Sam's members get 10% off on the total stay.
For those that want to attend the rally and are NOT Good Sam's members...
I just got in the mail today certificates where you can join for $12 for 1 year...therefore a 3 night stay at the campground and you would be ~$3 ahead.
If you are interested...PM me back your mailing address and I'll shoot the certificate in the mail to you as I do NOT YET have it electronically. I've only got 4 certificates so it would be a first reply basis if that is an issue...
For anyone else just wanting to become a Good Sam's member for $12 for 1 year or $33 for 3 years with 1 night free camping...PM me as well as I just got these certificates in the mail today...why not use them!!!

UPDATE...
We now have nine Excursions committed to the event...
5 V10s and 4 PSD's...
Twin Creek indicated their 'busy' season for summer reservations will begin in the next few weeks...so if you are on the fence...book or you may not be able to get into Twin Creek...

UPDATE...
We now have 11 Excursions and 2 F250's committed to the event...more like yourselves are STILL on the fence...
6 V10s and 7 PSD's... (3-7.3's and 4 6.0's)

I personally don't care what you drive as long as you enjoy gas vs diesel chatter!

Ok folks, we are up to 19... Twin Creek will be running out of sites soon. If there is just an inkling that you will attend, make you reservations now - as long as you cancel at least 10 days out, then you'll get all but $10 back.

I called Twin Creek today - they still have a few sites available for the event weekend. If you are considering attending, make your reservations now (put that Tax Stimulus check to some good use).

Okay folks,
We have gotten a sample T-Shirt printed up.
This version is for the Excursion owners Excursion T-Shirt SAMPLE BTW the Ford Trucks Rejects will NOT be on the final design! 
We need to come up with a slogan for our Super Duty brothers.

I'd like some help in coming up with Super Duty themed slogan.
Pricing is NOT finalized yet...but should be in the $10-12 per T-Shirt for up to XL I believe...larger sizes are available a a slight price increase. I also believe childs sizes are available too...all FINAL PRICING will be available shortly...
We're going to come up with an internet order form to pre-order and pre-pay. If you want your shirts shipped to you before the rally there will be a shipping charge (to be detemined).
We can have a couple of different colors for the shirts as well as a Women's V-Neck shirt for ~$12
Those not wanting to pay for shipping...we will have them brought to the Rally by either myself or another that is near the printers that is coming to the rally...
What I need by Thursday the LATEST is a SUPER DUTY THEME...so respond with some ideas so we can finalize the shirt.
In all honesty...I think many Ex owners would be interested in a Super Duty themed T as well...unless it is all smoke and not smokie themed! LOL
So please respond with your ideas by THURSDAY MAY 18 if you have some.
