I am looking at moving up into a larger trailer and having more counter space. The rear kitchens all have forward facing refers. How do you keep things in place as to not have your shoes full of cold food when you open the refer. Seems like a Hugh problem to me.

First off, not all rear kitchen campers have forward facing fridges. Mine doesn't. Second, the ride with the rear kitchen isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I've never had anything fall out of any cabinet or off of a shelf in the fridge on the roughest of roads.

They make the spring loaded bars that you can use in the fridge or in cabinets.I bought several and they work fine.

Our rear kitchen fridge doesnt face the front either. Ours in on the side, and we have never had anything spill, or fall out of the fridge or any of the cabinets. Not in the last 5 years anyway!!! But thats not to say that there wont be a first time

Some 5th wheels offer shocks as an option. They do make a lot of difference in the ride. We often leave things on the counter and they don't move.

That is what we use. Never a problem. Everything rides just fine. Our second fiver with a rear kitchen and we wouldn't have it any other way.

This our second 5r with a rear kitchen and neither one had a forward facing fridge. We like the counter space they offer and have not had a problem with anything spilling from the cabinets. Go for it if you like the design. You will be fine.

Ditto!
Both have had their fridge facing forward (I have never seen a forward facing fridge).
Never had a problem.
One of the things I always check (before buying a rig) is accessibility to the fridge with the slides in. I think that would be a big problem in a forward facing fridge.

When my grown kids were inspecting our new fifth wheel, one asked why we bought a trailer that sleeps 4. My reply was that we couldn't find one that sleeps 2!
