Greetings from SAL!!!

My bro showed up and surprised everyone. Well, everyone but Ray & I, we knew he was coming. He slept on our sofa bed last night. Soon of course is hard at work at the pumpkin patch.

So my bro ever so nicely let me connect via his air card and router.

We have quite a few Computer Guru's here at SAL and we hope to connect via web cam with Lee, Shelia and Brianna this afternoon, once they get home from their trip to Myrtle Beach. I got my fingers crossed that this is gonna work!

Everyone signed up to attend the rally arrived safe and sound. A few late arrivals got here about 9-ish. It was windy pretty much all day yesterday and didn't die down until about 7 PM. Of course a little wind doesn't stop us from having a good time!

Right now, Jill & Bill are setting up right now to fix bananna pancakes for everyone! No wind either!

We miss you all who couldn't make it. Hey, there is still some sites available. Come on up!

Good Morning ya'll. It sure was nice seeing everyone. Wish the connection was better but what the heck at least we were able to see (most) you for awhile. I stayed up until 10:30 or so. Steve's T-shirt was awesome and what can I say about Linda's... (Nothing on here) ha ha ha.... Glad you all had fun and I hope Bingo went good (usually does) and is always lots of fun. Today is a travel day for most of you so drive safe.

Dan I got what you said about you could be here in a month... Ha ha ha ha (2 hours or 200 miles) is just about right.

We are home safe and sound. It was another great Rally! Thank you Judy and Ray for all your efforts! It was good to meet new people and catch up with dear old friends!

Of course the highlight was seeing Lee, Shelia and Brianna , even if it was only on a teeny, tiny screen ! Maybe next year you guys will be there in person!

We had a great ride home - not nearly as windy this time.
We had a great time as always. Eldon, thanks for the leveling wood, I left it on your picnic table; did you get it? Ray, thanks for the expert guidance into our spot. Nary a hydrant was harmed! Can't wait to see you all again soon!

Ray & I got home about 2-ish, unloaded the 5er here at the house, put the food away, started the laundry and off we went to take the 5er back to storage and out for Linner (lunch/dinner).

We had a great time this weekend and I think it's safe to say that most everyone did, dispite the wind! Jill & Bill's pancakes were awesome. The ice cream social (and b day cake) was ymmy. The potlucks were full of wonderful dishes and of course the company was great too.

Thanks everyone for your help and $$ donations, they really made the rally better then ever! Newton, thanks so much for setting up the web cam so we could all see and talk to the Brandt's. It really was the highlight of the rally for me. Happy & sad at the same time.

Butch & Karla many thanks for ALL your help this past weekend, you guys are awesome. Firewood, boat rides, cooking, cleaning. The list goes on and on. The mini cornhole games were so cute. So professional looking. Thanks for all the time and material that went into those.

Here is a link to my pictures from this past weekend. Judy's SAL Rally Pics

And even though Steve did remind me, we didn't take a group picture once again.

We made as far as Bakersfield. Over 2 hours…more like 3.5…Actually closer to 4 since I had to stop and stuff $200 in my gas tank, that should get me to Havasu. We should be in Havasu by Tuesday. It’s nice to have the time to take our time.

Another successful Rally, Judy. I think about the Rexhall Rallies Susan and I have attended where attendance was over 300 RVs. This year they had 12 sign up so they canceled. Judy still seems to pull in close to 20 every time. That says a lot!

Eldon, we picked a green orange and guess what? It was sweet! We picked about a dozen to take back to Havasu with us.

Lee, it was good that you could attend the rally. Isn’t technology great!

See you all at the next rally or sooner I hope.Dan's SAL Rally Pictures

It was Soooooo nice being able to attend the SAL via "The Internet". Yes Dan technology is great. It did make us miss you all even more. It is so nice to be loved and to give love to friends and you all are exactly that.

We hope to see you all again (maybe next year's SAL) we will have to see what happens in the future. I am going to aggressively try and sell "Star" and buy a Hybrid Travel Trailer. Yes I am changing again. "Star" is paid for and I will not take anything less then what My Bottom Line Is. But with the upkeep and Insurance etc. we can save a significant amount of money. There is NOWAY we will be without some form of RV. I have a brand new 2008 1/2 Ton Chevrolet Crew Cab and it will pull the trailer we want with no problem and then we can bank the rest and use it to travel with. As you all know things have changed in the world around us all. OK like Newton said that's enough of that talk...

I am now going to look at the pictures Judy Judy Judy posted and get all melancholy cause we were NOT there... Thanks Dan I got to see your pictures also...
