This is going to sound too vague because we're looking for preliminary info. We have a 34 foot Class A that my husband can't drive that much any more because of disability problems.

We'd like to find a campground "down south" (from South Carolina to Arizona...) where it would be warm during the winter. Looking for somewhere where we could store it and then use it during the winter. During the summer, we might want to move it to other locations.

We don't want to buy a place (no memberships, etc.) because we don't want to be tied to the same place. Some amenities that would be desirable are:
- Near beach or river (husband loves water)
- Not too isolated
- Some activities around (shopping and casinos are NOT activities for us!)
- Well maintained and clean area with friendly people!

If you know of some places like this where we could rent a spot and/or store the unit from month to month, please let me know.

Willow Tree RV resort in Longs, SC (14 miles west of North Myrtle Beach). Call to get storage info...they were building a 2nd storage lot last time we stayed there. Beautiful CG. A grocery store is about 6-8 miles away (if I remember correctly) and a couple of local restaurants nearby but if you want something more than this you would have to drive into Myrtle Beach.

Their website only shows daily, wkly, monthly rates but they do offer special rates for longer term stays - you have to ask for that. Perhaps not as warm here in the winter as you would like (avg temp in the 50s), but something to consider.

You can see some pics we took of the resort & our site in this link

You will find that all the RV parks in Myrtle Beach, SC offer storage. Some onsite, some off site. You call ahead and when you arrive your RV will be on your site. Also, there are several independent RV storage and tow company's.

If you can drive a little way, you can also store your RV in a public Storage lot. I store my in Hilton Head each winter.
