Sorry for the late reply, but there's actually quite a bit of room for additional 12V batteries. Just to the left of the front generator compartment is a large open area that can house additional batteries... I believe a 4D and possibly an 8D battery would fit. You could even have a custom shelf built that would allow you to double the capacity with a second level of batteries. It believe there's actually more battery room in the Inferno than any other toy hauler.

I have a 07 Raptor 3612, ordered it in Sept 06, it arrived Oct 06. We have put on about 4K miles and we still absolutely love it. I cant complain on the quality at all. Could a few things have been better? Sure. But I think the quality thing is like the flavor of the week. One week the Weekend Warriors are bad, next the Raptors, yada yada yada. I went thru every Raptor my dealer had on the lot to check the quality, did the same for the Cyclones and others. I personally went with the Raptor, best quality/features/price. My .02

I have four 6 volt T-105's just left of the Generator. They fit so nice. EZ to wire and vent cause everything was right there. I could make a second level and install 4 more and I still have the open space where the factory battery sat.

08 F-450 Red Lariat 08 KZ Inferno 3912 - 24k Superglide with under bed rails sitting in garage not going to be used, what a shame.

I feel your pain....I just spent the last couple of months looking and trying to make a decision. I finally settled on a Sierra F34SP, made by Forest River(the name changed middle of the year and they are now called Shockwave instead of Sierra). I finally settled on this one due to a good deal and really liking the floor plan. The other one I was really considering was the GearBox 29FS. It looked really nice and had some nice features.

Best of luck in making your decision!!!

With the exception of just a few very minor issues my new WW has been good so far- Giant is fixing those small issues right now and adding a second awning.

Strongly considered a KZ but a 12 foor garage was too small for us and wife did not care for the kitchen. I really liked the steps to the loft in the inferno for the little guys.

In the end we could not find a better layout than the WW HKD and at this point I would buy one agian.

We have an early model '08 3814 Raptor, and we're pretty happy with it. As many of the others have said, they all have little quality control issues, but all-in-all, this unit is a nice rig. We upgraded the tires to load range E units, but other than that, no issues and it pulls beautifully.

Take a look at a Balboa Mirage toy hauler. We have one, and absolutely love it. Very simple design, very very well built, clean lines, excellent quality. Trying to figure out how to post pictures, new to the site. Good luck
