I made an offer and left a deposit on a Bighorn 3400 last weekend. The MSRP is $61,690. We agreed on $42,089. I also talked them into adding a second AC...which is included in the price above. This should equate into a 31.77% discount...not including the AC. I feel that it is a fair deal. The young salesman was top notch and I was glad I could do business with him.

It is a 2009 which includes the aluminum floor joists instead of the wood. Other than standard options, I got:
Aluminum Rims
Hi-Gloss Slick Gel Coat Fiberglass sidewalls
Electric Rear Jacks
Electric awning
Hitch cover
Central vacuum
Pillow Package
etc...

The King size bed will be great. I average about 29 days a month in the field and hotels became a nasty way of life. I'm glad I made the plunge!!! If you haven’t purchased yet...good luck.

Oh yeah...a little more info on Heartland. The owners of heartland have something like 30 to 60 years experience between them. They used to be involved with the conglomerate that owns Keystone. When they left or were bought out they had to sign a non-compete agreement. Immediately after the non-compete expired, they formed a new company...which is now Heartland. I have been walking in different floor plans for 8 months looking for what I believe is the best value for the dollar. I was not impressed with the Montana. The floors squeaked and every part of the trailer carries a premium price tag. One can't argue that they have done well in the past. I can argue that either their quality has gone down or they better be careful as they may be pricing themselves out of a market. Other manufacturers are providing like or better quality for a more reasonable price. Yeah...I know it is my opinion, but I didn't have any favorites starting off. I've just been shopping the market hard since January.

Still looking for a 5er. 2008 Dodge 2500 6.7L Quad 4x4

If I had to choose between Montana and the Heartland....my choice would be the Montana! It has been the number one selling RV for longer than Heartland has been in businesss making fifth wheels. The resale will be better when the day comes for a trade in. Whatever you do.....good luck on your choice.

I thought the same thing till I tried to sell my Montana. I have come to find out that on a used coach, name brand means little. It more of the bottom line.

Now heartland or keystone, thats an easy one. Keystone....

Good Luck
