It's time to get your calendars set for the 2008 Wisconsin Fall Rally!

When & Where:
October 10 - 12 at Indian Trails campground in Pardeeville, WI.

The Totem Fields area is set aside for our group pretty much the same as last fall.

REMINDER: We will be handling site reservations just like it was done for the 2007 Fall Rally. Indian Trails has asked that the group coordinators (Amy or myself) handle all site reservations, so PLEASE DO NOT call the campground for reservations unless you enjoy being told no

We have reserved the Waterwheel Shed for Saturday night and will schedule Trick or Treating for the kids (and adults??) after the dinner. This again went well last year and the more the merrier so bring your costumes.

Rates for the 2008 fall rally are better than last year. I’ll try to explain this so pay close attention:

As in the past - If you stay 3 nights you’ll get the 4th night free!
Weekday rate (Monday –Thursday) for our group will be $22.50 per night.
Weekend rate (Friday through Sunday) will be $27.50 ($2.57 less than the 2007 fall rally!).
Weekday rate (Water front site, Monday –Thursday) $29.50.
Weekend rate (Waterfront site, Friday through Sunday) $34.50.

A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to Myrna and Tiffany at Indian Trails for once again being our awesome hosts! And Joe Kott for his guidance & assistance in hosting, organizing, and being standing treasurer of these rallies for us all And of course there's a host of others that are helping us also, their names are scattered through these posts. Thanks all for pitching in, this is going to be a great rally.

How do I sign up?

All fall attendees please send me (Camp I am) a PM with the following info:
Your Name, Address, City, State, Zip and Phone #
# of Adults (names), # of Kids (names and ages)
Dog: Yes or No & # if more than one.
Vehicle & Trailer Make/length.
Vehicle License Plate # and state.
Desired site #: (Please note that all sites @ Indian Trails are nice; it’s first come first serve via pm message. Please don’t be angry if you don’t get your first choice, we’re just trying to keep this simple).

*Dog owners note*. Indian Trails has a policy that charges $10 per dog per stay. It is refundable upon your departure.

Events: An event schedule showing finalized event times will be handed out in your welcome packet Friday. We will also have the raffle again and each campsite will receive one ticket for $20.00. This is used to cover all the miscellaneous costs for our rally. If you have anything you would like to donate, please let me know.

Please make sure to stop by site # 101 after you’ve checked in and gotten your camps set up to pick up your packet and raffle ticket, if we’re not there we’ll be close by so ask around and you’ll find us.

Event highlights: (Times shown may vary)

Friday night will be the wine /cheese tasting get together. This has been a popular event at the last several rallies. If you would like to bring a bottle of your favorite wine and/or some cheese to share with others please do so.

Saturday morning at 8:00AM we rise early to caravan to the local Amish bakery, stores, and craft makers. We will also have kids crafts at 10AM Saturday morning. After kids crafts Uppercrust will be hosting cookie decorating for the kids again. We'll either do this immediately following crafts or just after lunch time. Saturday afternoon Jessica will be leading a kids scavanger hunt. Beyond that time can be spent by Indian Trails lake, in the indoor pool, hiking the trails, socializing with fellow campers, or?

Saturday evening supper is scheduled for 4:30 PM at the Waterwheel shelter, the raffle will be drawn immediately following the dinner. Two entrees will be provided. You will have the choice of hot beef sandwiches and / or hot ham sandwiches. To help us ensure there is enough for everyone please send a PM to “Sahm I am” (Amy) on how many beef or ham sandwiches each of your camping family would like. We will mark your request on the back of your nametags so portions are correct and everyone gets what they wanted. Special thanks goes out to Pat and Carey Merz for donating the ham & beef for the potluck, we all really appreciate this. In addition, each family is asked to bring a side dish/dessert to pass which again if you’ll kindly PM “Sahm I am” with what you plan to bring, she will post in this thread. This way, we may be able to have variety of side dishes/desserts. 7:30PM Saturday will be the witching hour,, or shall I say trick or treat time. If you wish to participate please leave your rigs porch light on, off means no ones home. Of course as the evening winds down finf a fire to sit around and share company with friends. As in the past Joe Kotts site #71 will have a larger fire in Joe's super sized ring. Sun tan lotion recommended

Sunday is group picture time and the final raffle… To enter the raffle please come to site # 72and drop your nametags and tag holders into the drawing for a wonderful prize. At the spring rally a free weekend of camping was the prize! HOW COOL WAS THAT!

Watch this spot for updates...

6/23/08: : Not everyone who has responded so far has sent us all of the needed info. Please send Sahm I am or myself the missing info from your reservations on the second post; food request, side dish, arrival date?

7/28/08: Any new ideas for rally happenings We'd love to hear them.

8/5/08:
* Looks like Jessica will be doing a scavanger hunt for the kids again. This was a hit last year.. Thanks Jessica!
* There are some gaps between sites on our list, if anyone wants to choose a different site to move closer to others send me a PM.

8/7/08:
Added to Saturday activities: "After kids crafts Uppercrust will be hosting cookie decorating for the kids again. We'll either do this immediately following crafts or just after lunch time". This went over very well last fall so special thanks to Uppercrust for volunteering to make the cookies and run this again.

8/26/08: I've been asked many times were the main campfire is going to be. Not at my site that's for sure. LOL! At the fall rally it has been historically at site 71 but camp fires can be at anyones sites (In your designated camp site fire ring only please). I encourage everyone to move around and visit others in our group whether it's at your camp fire or your neighbors. If your looking for something a bit bigger than life then I always recommend the awning melter at Joe Kotts site

9/8/08: Rally time is close. Please make sure the info displayed in the 2nd post is accurate If not PM me a.s.a.p. please. Also please PM me with names/sex/age (Example: Sue/M/8)(Yes that's a boy named Sue)if your kids will be participating in the Saturday kids crafts so we have a head count for this event. We use this head count to purchase supplies for the event.

9/15/08: Site reservations have been submitted to Indian Trails. If you need to cancel or change arrival dates please contact Indian Trails directly. However if you would please also pm me on the change, I'll then update the posting so we have accurate info to help keep this all organized.

9/16/08: rldcjd has volunteered to be our tour guide for Ssturday mornings trip to the Amish bakery, store, etc. Now we won't get lost. Thanks Randy

10/2/08: I can't believe we're only a week away, I think I'm going to pass out

Thanks everyone. We're looking forward to seeing you all

Sky, I think I can safely say we ALL have been waiting and watching for this thread! It's about time!

Dave, can you please put PRCA Cowboy (John & Julie) in site #69, next to us? I talked with Julie tonight and she's not able to get on line right now, but they're almost as excited about the fall rally as we are!

After not being able to attend the spring rally (darned niece had to pick that weekend to get married! ), we're REALLY looking forward to the fall rally and seeing all our friends again!!

Julie
