Wow!

You do need to use MY name with the folks at Eagles Peak.

How cool!

Well, not if it is IDENTITY THEFT MrsGaryR!

I never told them anything more than I had friends coming too. Joanne must have planted the seed or maybe Chris!

Well, Chris and Gary got their site #'s. I called last Thursday, I think it was and she wouldn't give me a site #.....just that it would be 'linked' to Scott's site.

You know....That MrsGaryR has a reservation for Elk Neck under my name...I see a trend here. LOL

To be quite honest...we plan to attend, but I have to hold off on the reservation because we have a great deal going on with our jobs right now and need to be cautious with our spending. But we'll reserve as soon as I think we can.

Yea I know what you mean about the jobs. Our outings will be limited next year as Gary is presently unemployed. He lost his job right before Elk Neck, so vacation days will be at a premium next year--assuming he has gotten a job by then(OMG!)
It's nice to throw around powerful peoples names! Whatever it takes to get what you need!

Precisely! I work in a financial planning firm, but, while I know I wont be losing my job, I will most likely be getting less pay due to the current state of the economy. Phil works at an auto dealership and, well, that industry is getting hit hard. We are very concerned right now. Only God knows what lies ahead, but we can be cautious while we wait to find out.

Was the time many years back I sold my car and was on Unemployment Compensation for a time. I did odd jobs to include being a bouncer in an Atlantic City bar. No, not a DANCER. Bouncer. I also hooked up with college friends and started a cleaning business. Dirty job but back in 1979 ten bucks an hour was nothing to sneeze at.

Were it not that I am in a recession proof occupation and have a great deal of seniority my camping experiences would not be as frequent.

Good luck to all with the current economy.

Phil, sorry to hear about the future of your job; however, I cannot help with Cabana Boy, but a Receptionist, I can do! Although, you might wanna live closer to Point Lookout. . . and the job requires you to smile nice for the gov't customers, answer phones (and questions to why is that glare in the sky?), and maybe fetch fresh coffee! I'm not sure what the pay is like, but I know the hiring dudes and I can put a good word in for ya! LOL Seriously, I hope everything turns out OK, I'll keep you guys in my prayers. These are gonna be some tough times for all of us!
