Anyone stayed at Loretta Lynns's off I-40 near Waverly, TN lately? Going for the 4th, and wondering about the campsites.

There is a KOA right at the exit where you get off for the Loretta Lynn park, we stayed at the KOA and it was decent. We were there in mid winter so there wasn't much going on.

We stayed there last year and it was a great campground. The sites are wooded and not too close. Some sites are slightly un-level, but a great place to stay.

We were there the first of June before the crowds. Very quiet and spaces are asphalt and well spaced. I concur with a previous poster, some of the sites are not very level and tight to get into. They recently installed corral fencing at the pad entry and had to do quite a bit of back and forth to clear. They did let us pick our spot which helped. We stayed there in a Motorhome. Not much at LL but Waverly has several good places to eat. Also, the Log Cabin cafe is at the same exit (NE corner) for LL and the food was great.

we go there 5 to 6 times a year and love it... she has her western town there and her museum and tours of her house and replica Butcher Hollow house and coal mine.. so lots to do there. She has a concert there 3 times a year and will be there the 4th of July.. we like the bottom campground by the pool there also is a spring feed creek to swim in when the sun is to hot.. You can see her kids all the time there, Betty Sue runs a flea market down the road and Cissy has a country store just across from te entrence to the ranch and she makes a mean fried bolonga sandwich and you can see Ernie riding around the place on the tracktor all the time. If you need more info let me know and I do agree the campsite on top can be tight but they are full hook ups were the bottom does not. It can be crowded on the 4th so make sure you have a reservation.. just check out Loretta Lynn. COM ..
If you have horses they have a top notch Wrangler camp with many trails to ride..
