I was really excited when I saw that we finally had been allocated a "small trailers" forum. That is, I was until I posted something that I thought was of interest to only small trailer owners and got a lot of replies from owners of big rigs. Then I discovered that our "small trailers" forum consists only of a virtual tag on our posts that allows us to see them all together.

Big deal!

Apparently we don't rate the same treatment that the popup owners, Class A owners, etc, do.

For that reason, I haven't been checking in a lot lately---and I think this is undoubtedly true for others as well.

What about you other small rig owners?

Here I can still enjoy comedy, drama, romance (can ya' feel all the love in this thread?),

While I find the forums very helpful, I also enjoy reading the variety of topics. And the humorous ones can lighten one's day! OK - maybe things got a little carried away here (but it sure made for interesting and comical reading)!

Art - hope that you can take these responses in the way they were intended - 'light hearted humour'. And keep in mind that everyone is entitled to their opinion and may not always agree with you.

I guess owning a large rig should mean I know NOTHING about smaller rigs. Most people have started camping in small units and have moved up as the years have gone by. anyway, Mr. Art Davis, I won't post to any of your topics.

In the beginning all Art was asking for is a place for people who wanted to talk about small trailers.
I meet Art and his wife from these forms and I can tell you they are very nice people.

So what happened here? I stop reading a topic and it gets good!

See what happens when we start to segregate people (small TT forum)! everyone starts to complain!

FWIW. I haven`t seen my Cherokee 32B forum yet!

Art,

You will always get replies from folks who currently have a different style of unit that you do but they may have had small trailers in the past or plan on getting one in the future. So they offer their help.

Since small trailers are the wave of the future due to gas prices etc. The small TT page will be very popular and it will get a lot of traffic.

So roll with the flow and remember there we include not exclude here.

Not all responders have big trailers, maybe you should re-read a few of the replies and see just how big everyones trailers are.

Most have big RVs, good enough for me.

Many of us "larger rig" owners started with small trailers, campers, or popups.

When I was growing up in the 50s and 60s my dad brought home a 16' Shasta. We traveled all over in that rig with 5 people and a large dog. When DW and I were first married we bought a early 60's 13' Cardinal. We upolstered it and wife made new curtains, added a porta potty and new fresh water system.

We had a lot of fun with that little trailer until we moved up to a "real" big used 18' Terry with a real refridgerator and black water system.

Now that we are older we travel in a 30' FW.

We have a lot of experience to draw upon and feel we can offer some advice. I still like the smaller rigs but they are not to good for our future FT rig.

Please clarify for me.
What is considered a "small travel trailer"? Ours is about 26 foot - bumper to ball. Is this a small trailer?
I have really enjoyed and learned from this category and did not feel as if I shouldn't be here.
