Nice looking camper you got there. I say if it fits your needs, then it's the right size. Our 25' is about as small as we want to go but that's just us.

I would like to have something bigger than 16', but I can't justify the cost of the large gas guzzling Truck/SUV that I would need to buy to go with it. So happy I do not have to spend $100+ to gas up a Suburban as a daily driver the other 50 weeks a year we are not camping.

18' used to a decent sized trailer. At 25' we are still one of the smallest in any private cg. Funny thing, though,go to a state park or forest service cg and there are a lot of smaller one as wells as campers and tents!

We have found this very true. In the private CG. there are many large TT and huge MH coaches. We rarely see PU's or tents. We are one of the smallest but don't care. Our TT is new, paid for and ours. It also serves our family of 4 well at this point. However when we go to the state CG there are many tents, pu's and smaller and vintage TT.

It's all in what you like!

Our first TT was a 15.5 foot Sunline T-1550A. Like many others have said, it has all the amenities of our current (larger) trailer. The only reason we sold it was we knew it was going to get too small as our kids got older.

Even at 28', our Futura is small compared to most of the TT's and 5vr's I've seen on the road over the years, AND it has no slides! We manage a respectable 10+ mpg towing on average and the lash-up has outstanding road manners while under way. We can get into and use all but the smallest sites and we even manage to get in and out of some really tight parking lots when stopping for meal breaks.

Does size matter? Yes, it only has to be just big enough.

I'll leave it at that.........

We had one of those Sunline 1550s. We went from Florida to Seattle and back, FL to Nova Scotia and back. Sunline made a good trailer. We sold it because it was getting too old.

The last time we took the grandkids camping on the Columbia River they slept outside in a tent. After that we bought a 17 Casita, great for 2 old timers.

We camp with friends that have 33+ foot 5ers - we can get into the best places in the mountains or at the lake. We still get to set up camp all together but there have been times when they have had to parallel the dirt roads while we can snuggle into the trees!
For the 2 of us and our 2 furkids, our 26 foot TT is just right for us!
I think rebel175 has it exactly right! Size really doesn't matter. (Unless it is too big to go great places!)

Hi, we have a 19' Jayco Jay feather Sport. We have owned it for a year now and are enjoying every minute of it. It is perfect for the two of us. The only down side for us is that it is a bit cramped when we take the grand kids. We have a 6 yr old and a 15 month old who are all over the place. The dining area makes into a VERY small bed. So, guess where GS sleeps? We took the 6 yr old for a week camping in S.Georgia during spring break. DH bought a tent and the two of them camped out in it every night. Great fun for the GS,but a little hard on Paw Paw. We camped this weekend and there was one other TT our size out there. Most all were the big rigs. We do think that in the future we will trade up to a slightly larger TT so that we can comfortly camp with the grandkids.
