I made no comment on his ability at building the trailer. He did a great job no doubt. I only stated for the money I want an indoor bathroom with a shower.

2003 Jayco 308fbs eagle 33' tt, towed by a 2003 Ram 3500 slt, quad cab dually, cummins diesel ho, trailer towing package, with 6 speed manual. Hauls better 1/2, 3 kids, myself, and a 2003 ez go clays car.. I have added so far, neon lights, clearance lights, back up lights, black light, lift kit, mud tires, and everything necessary to make the golf cart street legal. It's now ready to spend the winter in the garage for more mods. More neon, strobe lights, alarm, a pa system, maintance, and whatever else that comes along. This golf cart does wheelies and travels thru 7 inches of mud when need be. Two honda eu2000i gens twinned to supply the electrical power. Latest addition an 04 Honda Goldwing. It is very nice and it is also the price that I paid for my TT. I have been spoiled by all the room that we have.

come on give the guy a break.

I'll bet none of you could not match his skills as a trailer building.

I say that having built and flown airplanes, aluminum skinned and all Fiberglass.

A very well done trailer and if it's what he wants more power to him.

No one was putting his TD, or skill down. He did a great job. And to him. It is worth $18000. But to a buyer. who did not spend the time. It probably isn't. Not to me anyway. that is way more than my selfcontained TT. Just because I think the table I built is great, and worth a bunch to me. I doubt you would pay me what I have in it. Same with him.

The price is not that far out of line, considering Thor is asking 17 to 22 grand for a T@B.

Yes, you can find a brand new 21 foot self contained TT for under $10,000. Or you can pay over $30,000 for something in that size. They are not all made to the same standards.

For $2k less, we bought our 28ft Cherokee new in 05!

I`m sure it`s nice and all and alot of attention to detail was paid, but sorry, not $18.5k.

What most of you are missing is that 20 years from now.. his trailer will still be valuable and maybe worth 10 grand or so as a collectible..

What will your new now 20 grand trailer be worth at that time? (if it is still even road worthy)

Heck... even ten years from now.. what will your trailer be worth?

Don`t know, don`t care, I`ll be sitting comfortably on my couch watching my DVD`s in surround sound in air conditioned comfort. I bought my RV to use not to try and sell for way more than it`ll be worth! and the way I take care of my stuff, if I don`t sell it, it will be around along time. probably longer than most tear drops.

Nice attitude... you don't care nor know...

I will be sitting in my house watching DVD's in the same comfort... but at home..
I do not pretend to camp.

ack... ok.. I did not mean to be rude and rude that was...

lets just all have different opinions and agree we all like to camp(or live somewhat outdoors)
be it an rv park or primitive site.

I have seen and camped with the owner and teardrop in question and can assure you it is overpriced and worth every penny of it. if you add up the hours spent building this trailer and the craftsmanship put in to it (owner is a professional cabinet maker doing high end commerical cabinet work) The owner has built a new teardrop and is ready to part with his love of labor old one.
As to the value for the size, if your one of the "size matters group" then PLEASE don't buy this or any teardrop trailer. The trailer is where teardroppers sleep and cook. As a group we are the ones gathered around the campfire and enjoying each others company, sharing dutchoven meals and enjoying the world around us. If this appeals to you then buy a teardrop and join us
