Wow has it been 15 years already?
The first Brickyard was the most exciting IMHO, but they have all been great to watch.
I have actually seen the brick strip up close, I even took a lap around Indy.
But the first Brickyard, now there are some memories.
Jeff Gordon winning after banging fenders with Ernie Irvan.
Brett Bodine taking out his brother Geoff, who led most of the early part of the race, and then Geoff whining about it on ABC TV.
Of course who could forget Dale Earnhardt crashing, and coming back to finish 7th.
Then there was the 1995 Brickyard 400. "The first year a man won". Only Earnhardt, and Gordon fans that were around at the time will know what that means.

It is not NASCAR that makes NASCAR great, it is the drivers that makes NASCAR great.
.......But that is coming from someone who is not necessarily a NASCAR fan, but more of a motorsports fan in general.

Any ole dirt tracker will tell you that you select the tire compound based on the abrasiveness of the racetrack surface. Goodyear feel asleep, ....DEAL WITH IT!

It sucked ! Once again the France family mafia along with it's bed partner Goodyear ruin what was once a great cross over track race. This was one of the all time worst , can't even call it a "race", race ever. Anyone watching tonight hear Rusty Wallace say..." if I was an owner I'd ask Goodyear do you really expectme to pay for these tires?". Remember what Tony Stewart said earlier this year...lets open up the tire compitition all ready. Goodyear sucks.
