GREAT for you and what a good picture.. you look HAPPY! Congrats for making a life-changing decision. And your wife is probably very happy to have a much healhier YOU around for a long long time.
I know the challenge of eating foods after a surgery, mine was a bit different, nissen fundoplication revision surgery, but all in all, eating tiny amounts of this and that for the first few months was a challenge. It was mostly soup, cream of wheat cereal, and applesauce.
As soon as all my stitches and staples were out, my hubby literally threw me in the motorhome, and we took off from a frozen Northern Wisconsin Winter in January and ended up in sunny Florida for 3-4 weeks of healing under the watchful eye of my mother.
I remember that we stopped enroute at a Cracker Barrel and the waitress could NOT believe I was only ordering some mashed potatoes. They are known for their HUGE portions... That one order of mashed taters for me really was 4 or 5 meals reheated while on the road.
Keep up the good work and keep posting your experiences for the rest of us!

I am going to have gastric bypass in about 1 month. I am very high risk, as I have COPD, Insulin Diabetic, CHF and on Oxygen 24/7. It is something I have to do if I want to stay around a little longer. I told my DW I was going to stay aroung for at least 6 more years as we will be married 50 years and I wanted to get my moneys worth out of this deal.
