Pam, ill check out that web site, thanks for the info. And the best of luck on your knee replacements, I thought they didn't do both at the same time, but I have heard that in some cases they do, is that as you understand it?
Ginny is supposed to have a parshall on the other (left) one later. But she says now that shes not favoring her right, the left is not bothering her, does that sound possible, or just wishful thinking?
Pam, I'm assuming its you with the knee replacements in your further, and not your hubby, sorry if Im wrong, but women do have knee problems more often than men, and it doesn't sound fair.
Best of luck.
Mike.

Yes, it's me with the knee problems. I took an anti cancer med for 5 years following cancer and that speeded up the joint problems. I can have both done at one time but like your wife, I'm hoping that repairing one knee will take some of the pressure off the other. My Mom had one replaced at 74 and never had to have the other one done. I'll be anxiously waiting to hear about your wife's progress. She'll get a lot of emotional support from the members of the knee site and a lot of advise on exercising and coping! I hope she'll be able to continue physical therapy until she's independent and mobile. I can't wait to go walking again. I use a scooter now to get to water aerobics and that helps my mood as much as my movement.

So Ginny's home now and doing great, vary little pain, and its a different kind, its the type that gets better every day. And she is so happy she had it done, but will admit she had some reservations at first.
She is now in the process of getting set up for PT locally, and maybe at a pool, I know she would like that and would benefit from it as well.
Its way to early to know for sure, but her other knee doesn't bother her near as much, but time will tell about that one.
I think we started an orthopedics section hear.lol

Karen, she is getting it set up now, there are several programs of pool therapy, some for 55 plus,(that's us) but all set up through the local Jr. collage, and she was talking with them yesterday.
Today I came home from grocery shopping, and she is out alone (just her and her walker) walking back and forth on the sidewalk to the garage, with a phone in her pocket, and as happy as a clam, we live out in the country.

Better still give her the puter and let her read this stuff lol!!! I am so happy things are looking brighter for you both. You are a wonderful husband to be so concerned and thoughtful and worried all at the same time. when you said she was walking with her walker with a phone in her pocket i thought of myself lol. i walk with a walker or cane and always have a phone in my pocket, good thinking. God bless.
