We bought our very first TT, 13',(paid $6,500 with trade in) saved thousands of $$$$ by not buying a 5er, MH or house on wheels. By the time we figured the cost of the bigger rigs, etc., and the cost of a TV to pull it, we felt a small TT and a TV that will be a little better on gas mileage was the best solution for us. We plan to travel to see the big USA and I did not want to hotel/motel it for the very reasons most of the posts mention. We figure we'll be saving $$$ regardless the cost of motels/hotels, campsites, gas, food, etc. etc. One does not need big rigs to enjoy traveling or camping. There are times we'll be moteling/hoteling it (yuck), but we'll be ok with it after I throughly check the sheets, glasses, carpet, etc etc.
