Lot of folks around Athens Town not so happy about that either. Figure everyone wants to knock off the top dog. Please excuse the deliberate pun. It may be a bad luck omen. I hope we can justify that appraisal, but the best laid plans...and all that.
Of course the thing that counts is the END of the season. We just lost UGA VI,  but I'm sure brother Seiler has another candidate waiting down in Savannah. Go Dogs!

If these guys keep getting in trouble, we won't have anyone to play. Mark Richt is so mad (and embarrassed) he could chew nails. Pity the poor souls who run in this heat we are having now, but I bet they will think twice before acting foolish in public and getting arrested again.

Yep, matter of fact there has been a champ crowned before the season according to the media, before the BCS when the AP declared the "MYTHICAL" winner. The Holy Team from South Bend has been declared pre-season champ probably the most, then the Trojans and Buckeyes probably tied for a close second and your team a few times. All they had to do was win out and it was theirs for the keeping.
BCS still has a lot of flaws but eons ahead of that old system.
