Can anyone recommend a good one that has it's primary use as a shower. I Have tried the one from Wally World and it is so poorly made that the seams parted after a half dozen showers and the zippers got caught continually.
The big 7 footer from K-Mart called Northwest Territories cannot support a five gallon Solar water heater bag. and they make no way to bring a shower nozzle and hose in from outside.
So far I have over $90 invested and still have nothing that can be used as a shower. There must be something available that has enough quality to last at least one summer, for two people.
What do you use and how do you rate it?

I have a complete bathroom when I tent camp.
I also have a paha que teepee and like it very much but hubby wouldn't use it because he doesn't think it looks manly enough...but is easier to put up than the cabelas and has a detachable floor instead of built in one. Both are quality units.
I don't use the zodi like it is designed by showering directly from it. I have an older unit (originally purchased to warm water for my horses) and I don't like fire/tent combos but have done it and is doable. Sometimes when the batteries weaken, the flow slows and the temp changes...ouch! Naked and leaning outside tent is needed to adjust heat... Anyhow, I just heat up the water by recirculating it back into the container until it's just right.
I modified my zodi, to just disconnect it from the pump and attach shower head so all that is in the tent is shower pump and water container. I do not bother shutting off the head water flow with the switch, I just place the head back into the container so no fussing and no waste of water with the trickling that happens. These are not powerful pumps, but for battery operated, will do the job.
I like the Pett toilet because it has the best weight rating, and is not bulky, and discreet. I have had the hassock, and the cabelas folding seat one (broke a rivet just testing it but good in a pinch I guess. Mine is still in its box in the garage. Came free with the shower purchase. The Luggable Loo Doodie bags fit on the Pett toilet. (Walmart) The bags that Pett makes work well also have TP and disinfectant wipes. Do not skimp out and use garbage bags, etc. trust me on that!
These MSR Packtowel Personal bath size MSR towel work really well. I have a backpack that fits all the shower items. These bath towels, disinfect wipes, travel toiletry bag, zodi and shower pump, extra batteries, fuel, doodie bags, toilet paper, tent light, and entrance rug.... so all I have to grab is the tent, toilet, backpack and fill the water container. GO!

You can use a 2.5 gallon bag inside the pahaque with the sling it has on the top can actually support it and still get a shower without being on your knees since the height is pretty good. It is also "lockable" from the inside so no one can open the door on you. There are 4 places to put towels.
The cabellas has a hook on the inside to string up one, but not sure how well that would work height wise. Only one place to hang towel outside.
Both these tents will allow you to open up to place the hose in from outside if hung from a tree, etc. I have used solar showers, but those can too be hit and miss with temps. Often many get around with heating water and adding it to the bags to regulate the temp.
I purchased the pahaque catch basin for when at campgrounds that consider the shower water as "gray". It will fit also in the Cabelas floor area. I have to raise two corners of the Cabelas to dry/drain it out before packing. The pahaque has a removeable floor and easier to just hose off.
I have had the pahaque for 6 years or so. I purchased to use with my popup truck camper that only had an outside shower. So all the plumbing was there, just no privacy and liked that I could put a hose thru the wall. It is still alive and kicking. Zips good. I expect the same from the Cabelas. It will withstand a hard rain and heavy wind!

OK, three, well meant, answers, and the local idiot{Sorry I just couldn't resist}
But for the price of these suggestions I could buy a full sized tent. That would allow me to set up the shower in one corner and have the rest of the tent for a dressing room.
Thanks again for your well intended thoughts.

I tent camp but, I don't have any sort of shower set. I'm curious. Where are you camping that you can not get to a shower every 3 or 4 days? We camp primarily in the National Forests so, no showers. However, it always seems that there is a hostel or RV campground or rec center within reasonable driving distance from where we are staying. We have to go into 'town'for beer and ice about every 4th day. I realize there are places in this country that you can hike for days without seeing anyone but, the kind of set-up your talking about seems like car camping.
Also, what do you do about the run off water? Or do you use biodegradable shower products?

I feel like I wasted a bunch of my time on this thread.
The shower tents are a whooping 4' x 4' base. Showering inside where you sleep gets damp. I assumed you had a tent already. Already have $90 into it. Sorry is often the cost of learning. BTDT too.
Water carriage, whatever way you like. Be it a bucket, solar shower. I fill the 7.5 and is good for a weekend of nice showers for 2 of us.
Nothing stated about type of camping. Since it was asked about a shower then, I assumed we were car camping. I could get clean with a bowl and a washcloth in the backpacking days. Been here done that too.
Gray water: Quoting myself:
"I purchased the pahaque catch basin for when at campgrounds that consider the shower water as "gray". It will fit also in the Cabelas floor area"
It catches 3 gallons, I pump it (using the shower pump) into the water supply container then take to dump site if necessary. All bio stuff. Most places where we camp don't care if you are showering and gray isn't an issue as long as you are far enough away from a water source. I am very green.
I don't care to stand and shower where others pee in, spit in, and flake off in. Is worth the bother to set up. I don't like to stink and get rashes from camping. Hiking and sweating all day, don't like to sleep in my own filth. My sleeping bag/tent stays smelling pleasantly.
Happy camping!

With that kind of attitude, just put on your swim trunks and I'm sure someone will be happy to spray you with a garden hose. For your wife, I'd suggest going the Cabela's or Paha Que route like Horseplay suggested. (good posts, btw)

I guess I'm not as refined as some folks. I don't equate a little sweat (and we camp so we can hike) with being filthy. I maybe all those locker room showers in college conditioned me not to think about the shower floor that much(I mean it is getting washed too, if you think about it). If I have any questions I just wear my Tevas. I'll also substitue a swim for a shower in a pinch.
All of the hostels, RV campgrounds and rec centers I've been to have seemed very clean. I just offered this as a suggestion because, you can take a lot of $4 (the most I have paid) showers for the cost of one of these set-ups.
