Spent 2 weeks at Ouchita State Park...loved the park...the people..and their tatoos ...the lakes..the fishing...Hot Springs...and the State....but you couldn't drag mkicking and screaming back to the 'diamond mine' of a dirt field where the only diamonds you'll ever find is the diamonds that have fallen out of the wedding rings of folks looking for diamonds

"MURFREESBORO, Ark. - An Arkansas man has found a 2.37-carat white diamond at the world's only diamond-bearing site where visitors are allowed to search for and keep the gems they find.

"Gary Dunlap of Jefferson named the diamond he found the Star of Thelma to honor his wife of more than 10 years. Dunlap's find was the fourth-largest diamond found in 2006 at the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro. In all, 486 diamonds have been found at the park this year."

Arkansas Campgrounds are beautiful! This is the Corps of Engineers Dam Site on Beaver Lake. What a great place! Right on the lake and 50 amps for the air conditioning! I hope this image turns out!

BTW, we have been to several Arkansas state park campgounds and have loved every one of them.

If you like other parts of Arkansas, you should see my home town!

44,000 acre clean Greers Ferry lake and miles of great trout fishing below the dam in the Little Red River.

We are located in central northern Arkansas. 60 miles north of Little Rock

Many cheap Corp of Engineers camp sites on lake and one nice one on the river just below the dam. Record trout caught here.

Many retire here, I build and sold them new homes for 35 years.

We get a lot of campers from Little Rock and Memphis Tn.

When I travel in my motor home I enjoy going, but never see a prettier place than

Beautiful Heber Springs Arkansas.

Old Highway 25 Corps of Engineers campground is my favorite on your lake. What fantastic spots, backing out toward the bluff rock so's you almost feel like you're over the water! I was so disappointed when I found 'em closed for the winter last year.

Rats, I hit the wrong button and also started a new topic under Camping in Arkansas,
Anyway,Yes, Old 25 north Campground is nice,

Due to all the rain we had this year, a lot of the campgrounds were flooded and damaged,

Everything should be back to normal soon, I think one third were flooded.

And have to be repaired.

But Greers Ferry Lake has so many campgrounds on both sides and all around the lake it will be all good by spring.

Ever Person retiring should look at Heber Springs Ar. before deciding on a retirement spot.

A lot of new jobs in the Natural gas drilling business is just starting here also, so younger people need to look here.

A lot of retired people moved here and wanted to close the door behind them, but that is not going to happen,
I used to know everyone in town, now you see so many you don't know

Is Old 25 North campground on Greers Ferry lake, or another lake?

Well, I answered my own question after checking out www.recreation.gov, but it only shows 15 amp electric service. Can you tell me if it has at least 30 or possibly even 50 amp service there?

Thanks!
