I notice none of the responders to this thread live in California......if they did......they wouldn't bother with McDonalds $1 cheeseburger.......they would be driving the distance to get to a In-N-Out burger........for only .85¢ more you can enjoy one of these.........

I'm guessing In-n-Out is only in Southern Cali cause I never saw a single one when I was in northern california last year.

I bet Jack won't have the two taco's for 99 cents much longer.
Wasn't it only about 3 years ago that McDonalds had a special of 5 regular burgers for a buck? Does anyone remember that?

And they werent' worth it then either. I'll go to McDonalds only if I'm about to starve and there's not a staggering dog walking close by. For them to be as huge as they are, they have become the worst tasting and quality food of any of the fast food chains. The fries don't taste like potatoes any more and meat on their hamburgers are smaller than the ones on the old Krystal burgers. When you open your meal, it looks like someone threw the burger together for the oposite side of the room. They just look and taste really nasty now. They don't seem to care any longer. They are an icon and they think that will take care of the negatives. It's really bothers me that they show these pictures of the wonderfully mastered burger with all of the ingredients stacked neatly in the bun. Making your mouth water to just look at it and then when you get it, it looks like a tossed salad that has been run over by a Sherman tank. My stomach has actually turned when opening one.

If any of you want to know how I really feel about it, let me know.

Not sure when it ends, but Md’s has a 49 cent burger deal going every Wednesday here right now. The cheeseburgers are 59 cents if you want to really splurge

My lunchbox on Thursdays is usually packed with 3 burgers and a pb&j for the ride to work. Hard to beat it at under 2 bucks a day and when you let them warm up on the hood of the truck they’re actually really good the next day!

I know you can still get a White Castle Hamburger for less than a dollar. We love them.
