The weather this weekend where I live is supposed to be excellent and this may be one of the last times I get a chance to get out and camp.
I had asked my mother (who is 65) if she wanted to go camping this weekend (I asked her because she had expressed an interest in camping and I told her I would take her sometime) but, she said it was too hot.
I asked my Other half if she wanted to go but... she does not either (not a huge fan of tenting, our class B is not ready yet to go camping and she does have lots of yardwork she wants to get done).
So, my question is... How many of you go tenting alone?
I am not afraid or anything but I am a bit worried I will keep thinking about not having anyone to share the fun with while I am doing it.
I don't plan on going far, It will just be from friday till sunday.
Mostly I will just be sitting around the fire at night with several beers... (the most relaxing thing in the world to me(well... second most relaxing thing ))
Bruce.

I have been on my own since 2004. After the first few campground, I found that there was no problem. I also had some fear. But now, even after going to a bigger unit. Its no problem, just do it and after a time or two it will seem old hat. Good luck. I have met many an interesting person along the way. Just different doing on your own. But have gotten to know many new and interesting people.

I camped for a day and one night without the DW tewo years ago and boy did I miss her.
That said, I could see myself camping alone sometime. I am sure I would enjoy it but would not sit around the CG but would traverse the area checking out little stores, yard sales and other points of interests that the DW would not normally go with me.

I think you need to look at in a different light. You have to think of yourselves as two violins. You can play your own concerto but when your together you are in complete sympathy together. Well you have to admit it sounds good. LOL>.. Bill.

The more people you ask here, the more confused you're gonna get.
Don't hesitate. Especially if it's the last chance you'll get this year!
If I was in your shoes and the "other half" didn't want to go, I'd be there right now with a beer or three in my hand.

if you've got the itch to go camping, do it.
if you get too lonely, pack up and go home.
