We've been on several trips to Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire. Each trip we've run into wet weather. Hopefully our next trip, to Danforth Bay will be sunny and dry!

Been very busy. I went to Hawaii, then Niagara Falls, then New Orleans, so I've reached all the corners of the U.S.!

B-U-S-Y! One camping trip, Talladega. One vacation for G-kids, Chattanooga. One trip yet to do, Maui. But, I have a new 24x30 garage out back. If I could just get some more shelfs, cabinets built and everything put in a place.

It's been a busy summer..we have done 3 short get-aways to state parks about 1-2 hours away. We also went to a local campground for a 2 day getaway in May, and will go to another one in 2 weeks. We also have reservations in Assateague for September..I can't wait for that one. Overall, we have made some great camping memories with our kids and grandkids and we hope to make some more....I hope everyone has had as great a summer as we have been blessed to have..
Enjoy the rest of the summer no matter where your camper leads you!!

Pretty much camping in the back yard. Gas prices and the higher cost of everything else kind of cooled our fever. Probably just as well, we took one 6 day trip to Biloxi, Miss. and everything that could go wrong did. Since we've been home it has been one thing after another. Dishwasher and water heater died a couple of weeks ago and yesterday we just had new A.C. installed in the house. It was rather old and on it's last legs, so we decided to replace it now. Being retired bank accounts don't grow very fast, if at all, looks like maybe a few local trips after the weather cools off. I'm not realy crying but we do miss our usual 4 to 6 week trip. Maybe next year. There's always a chance that I'll win the Lotto, look out then, going for a class C and hitting the road. Jerry

We've had a wonderful first RV summer. One week in NM (Santa Fe/Taos, over July 4th), one week in Buena Vista, CO, three other local weekend trips. We hope to get in 1-2 more weekend trips, if can balance with the kids going back to school and before winterization becomes necessary. We are inspired to plan more next summer. My apologies, I haven't learned how to post photos yet, hope to soon.

We have had an enjoyable year so far, spent two weeks vacation in Florida. Had 3 weekend camping trips in our area, plans for 2 more weekend trips and 1 more week trip before school, then to finish with Thanksgiving weekend. How sad it is coming to fast. It has been nice although our rain does not want to stop. Why does it always seem to hit on the planned weekends? I can also feel the temp is starting to drop at night, feels like fall is coming. Hope the rest have had and will finish off with a wonderful summer left behind us.
The outdoors is a wonderful place to be....

We have gone camping four times this year and have camped about 40 days, we leave again for four days camping on Monday and September 3rd for a month. We have had wonderful times and great weather. But what kind of summer have we had other than that, terrible.
Our 40 year old son has spent most of the past two years in the hospital, he got out on Tuesday and looks like he will be back today. Diabetes which is in good control, failing kidneys and heart. I hurt my leg and can hardly walk and my husband needs a knee replacement.
But camping great!!
