been on five camping trips this summer, mostly three to four dayers! i live within 30 miles of 4 state lakes, so fuel prices havent really put a burden on summer fun, plan on three to four more trips before it starts getting cold!

We've been on several trips to Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire. Each trip we've run into wet weather. Hopefully our next trip, to Danforth Bay will be sunny and dry!

Where do you go in Vermont? We are looking that way for our next adventure.

WET WETTER AND WETTEST! everytime we decide to sleep in the camper...rain! We've gone 4 times in the PUP, which we sold on Wednesday(8/6,) and it has rained everytime! Just last night we slept in the new to us HTT at Camp Parents-Back-Yard and guess what...rain...but you know what? it's been fun!...we are headed to Allegany State Park for Labor day and then 2 times in September and one last 3 day weekend in mid October. The campground we are heading to in October has free winterization when you leave...so we'll take advantage of that and then Nov 1st it goes into storage..

Yeah us too...BTDT! So far the last 3 camp-outs it rained about 1 hour before we planned on breaking down the PUP and leaving. Happened again this weekend----so we had to wipe down the entire canvas AGAIN before we popped her down.GRRRR.

This weekend camp-out we went on had some unexpected problems, but we still had a great time. Seems somehow the electrical system in our camper went nutzo and we didn't have any power. No pump to work the water or power for the heater. But no problem since the DH was still able to access the water...so we wouldn't thirst to death. Just had to fill pitchers/containers and use the water the 'old fashion way'. LOL. Thank goodness we had a heavy comforter on the bed so we didn't freeze either. Summers in CO still are very cold in the mountain areas. We usually boon-dock on weekends, so we always have a lot of battery powered lanterns....so we didn't have to be in the dark bumping into things all the time either. DH still has to figure out what went wrong...before we head out again for another camp-out.

I will post some photos of the camp-out later this week to share.

HAPPY CAMPING!!

You want the truth? LOUSY!!
First the kids lived in my fiver for two months while they were trying to find a house after moving back to this area. Now wife has been in and out of the hospital for the last month with severe pancreatitus. Today they are finally going to operate. New truck has 2800 miles on it and that is only because I used it to help move the kids. Sheeze, can it get any worse?

We just got back from 2-weeks in Yellowstone. The trip was great. There were 11 of us spread among 3 trailers in adjacent campsites at Bridge Bay CG. We can say we really "DID" Yellowstone, seeing most of the attractions there.

We are going out again in 2-weeks for a long weekend at Big Trees SP.

We have been out 5 times so far. June was busy with sons graduation and the home fix up routine. Hope to get out two more times before labor day then fall camping starts which I love. These will be long weekends.
