We are heading into Canada next week for a month in Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI. Looking for suggestions on campgrounds.
What were your favorites in Nova Scotia or any other of the provinces in the Maritimes?

I have a strong preference for provincial cgs in all of those provinces.
Nova Scotia is just beginning to add services such as hydro to some. If you google.ca for Nova Scotia tourism, you should be able to find out which ones. I liked 5 Islands and Whycogomagh, best.
In New Brunswick I've enjoyed the provincial cgs on Grand Manan and Campobello Island. I even had a treed site with hydro on Campobello.
PEI provincial cgs have services, often open field concept for full services. Brudenell and Mill River are well liked. Of course, if you're into beaches there is the federal park.
& I, I took the road less travelled by.

Second vote for MacLeod's Beach Campsite in Dunvegan, NS. This is one of the most spectacular locations for a CG that we have been to. We also liked Blomidon PP.
In NB our favorite was Century Farm Family CG in St. Martins. Right on the Bay of Fundy and near the Fundy Trail Parkway, which we enjoyed more than Fundy NP.

by pictou, nova scotia - caribou munros provincial park. nice beach, watch the ferries go to and from pei, 10 minutes to ferry and 10 minutes to the lovely town of pictou
baddeck cabot trail campground - sites are a little dull but very nice people, pool on site and a restaurant if you don't want to cook one night.
by lunenberg, http://www.ovenspark.com/ - some sites were much better then others but unique campground - i'd recommend going on the boat ride through the sea caves - they had music both nights i was there up at the restaurant

Five Islands PP was in major construction last year with bad roads and closed trails, doubt it's finished yet. Blomidon PP was absolutely the best, followed by Battery PP, Mira River PP and TH Raddall PP. Don't know about the other PPs. Also enjoyed the private cg at the Seal Island Bridge overlooking Bras D'Or Lake outside of North Sydney.
