I know some of you have done this , so I am asking this: I have a 2007 GMC 2500 and tow a Weekend Warrior 32FSC. I am considering lifting the truck 6" and putting 35" tires on it. Some have told me that it would be dangerous to tow that big trailer with a lifted truck. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Friend of mine tows his Skyline Rampage 321 travel trailer with a lifted 2500HD with 35" tires on it. Our families camp together 2/3 of our trips. He had a little sway in the beginning but seems to have adjusted his hitch properly now and he's fine with the rig.

See my profile for my setup... I've got 35" tires and 6" lift and I'm happy with the rig... although I'm towing a 5'er TH so it's not as relevant.

There are a few of us here that tow with lifted rigs. I have a 6" lift with 37'. No problems. I know towing with a stock truck is best but I love my truck and have no issues.

The only thing I can add is that I have heard that some of the Nitto tires dont seem to handle the load very well and ride very mushy-side to side sway or give in sidewall. But I am sure someone will chime in on this,as I heared this on another forum.

Was not thinking of Nitos. I am looking at Pro Comp Extreme.

The higher your center of gravity, and the more tire sidewall flex you have, the more likely control could be lost in an emergency or extreme situtation, but I know people who do the same thing you want to do every day, and most get away with it. Towing any trailer with any TV is risky; I personally prefer any modification to make the TV safer and more stable, not less, but barring any extreme emergency maneuvering situations, you will probably have no problems.

I tow my 5er with ProComp's Extreme A/T in 35's. No problems at all. I am getting good wear as well.

I guess my question was for those pulling a tow behind with a lifted truck. just concerned about the safety issues.

I tow on Nitto Terragraplers 10 PLY no problem. I got 20K out of them and we tow twice a month. Our truck weight is 12K with the pin weight. I chose these due to they seem to be good to air down. I got these tires after I had poping sidwalls on goodyear silent armors.

I am on stock rims with a 2" lift.
